Verily I say unto thee..how can thou knowest oh person who presumes to speak for me?
Those words were spoken today by Georgette Mosbacher, RNC Finance Co-Chair and huge GOP fundraiser, after Chris Christie’s announcement. The “we” is all the big bundlers, fundraisers, and money folks who have been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the field to be set — and that quote represents the coalescing around Mitt Romney that is expected to happen rather quickly now. Mosbacher went on to say:
“I think tomorrow, we’ll be contacting one another and probably put something together with Romney… And I would say that the race is now Romney and Obama. Quite frankly, the enthusiasm wasn’t there at the outset. He’s less conservative than a lot of us would like. However, our first and foremost goal is to defeat Obama. And we do believe Romney, in terms of independents, will be a strong candidate. We will coalesce behind him now… the time has come to get behind him… Tomorrow I’ll be on the phone all day. Quite frankly, it’ll be easier, because now we know who it is who will be our nominee. So we will pull our Rolodexes out and get to work.”
*facepalm* Okay let me get this straight...the candidate you PRESUME to gift to us lowly peons. The masses..those of us who are apparently too stupid to think for ourselves is...OBAMA LITE?!
WHAT the fuck, pray tell me you presumptuous elitist bitch..makes you think that we need YOU to do our thinking for us? Uh uh. I don't think so missy. I for one can do my thinking on my own. So please..sit the fuck down, shut the fuck up..and let us poor godless, ignorant heathens think for ourselves. This is why the TEA Party movement sprung up. Part of the reason anyway. The bulk of the impetus was Obama, Pelosi, Reid and their socialist program to turn America into Communist Russia Lite...and then eventually Hard Communist Russia.
You know readers? The party I have been a registered member of since I was able to vote[I never should have..I was younger then..smarter now] has turned..I SWEAR (repeatedly, profanely and almost constantly) into Democrat Lite. Really.
They apparently don't give anymore of a shit about what WE The PEOPLE think, than do the goddamn Democrats. That is what I'm taking away from the article I quoted this stuff from. Varily..I wonder...how quickly I can change my affiliation from Republican to Independent? because really...at this point in the game..I have no use for EITHER party, except as practice targets in a live fire exercise. YES I AM that pissed. When haven't I been that pissed lately? Hell for the last couple YEARS?
Just another thought...let us repudiate both parties thoroughly. If this turns into a OBAMA Vs Romney race..don't vote for either. Write in your own candidate. I know who I'm going to write in. For me it was only ever a 2 horse [well it would have been 3 if a certain someone else had entered] race, and if neither of my two horses got the nod than I sure as hell had no intention of voting for the one that did. Since it seems the RNC is going to decide for us....and NOT for the candidate I like the best..I'm going to write in. I'm not playing their game anymore. Although if they piss enough people off the game is likely to change, and NEITHER the Dimwit party nor the Republican halfwits are likely to enjoy that change. Not one bit.

Must say that I agree with you here wolfie. They don't say Pepsi/coke for nothing when referring to Democrats/Republicans. Very little damn difference.

So Coryn is on my shit list. I didn't vote for him to tell other people who to vote for...I voted for him to do his damn job...which he mostly isn't'.
