AAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!! Okay..we're gonna have this conversation one more time..peoples outright STUPIDITY on this issue is starting to make me go from irritable to exceedingly pissed off.
Tax the Rich-Right, lets tax the rich..they already pay more than we do..waaay more. the top 6-10% pays almost 3/4's of the taxes. Now the numbers as to how much of the top percent and the percentage they pay in totalvaries depending on who exactly you listen to; but pretty much everyone I've seen is that a small percentage of the top earners pay 60% or better of the taxes. Now here's another kicker. Most of the those people own MAJOR corporations and banks. Businesses. Now what is a businesses main purpose for existence. To give people jobs? No. To provide goods and services? That's a part of it. A businesses main reason for existence is TO MAKE MONEY. Follow me That is by and large it's ONLY reason for a business to stay in existence. To make money for the owners, so they can as an effect PAY the workers who provide the goods and services that other people buy, thereby making the company money. No one goes into business to be a good samaritan and lose money faster than the government does, they go into it because they see a way to make money off of something they love to do or build. Now. if they don't show a profit, what happens? Favors start getting called in, workers start losing their jobs, and now the people who bought the good or service that company provided; can no longer get that good or service. Thereby making everyone involved fucking miserable. The people who buy can't get what they want, the people who made it no longer have work and the poor bastard who owns the company is now; unless he was REALLY smart with his money and investments..is broke as hell because he had to pay off his debts and investors..with everything he'd managed to save. Follow me?
Now how does not making a profit happen? Well either the demand for the product isn't there in the first place. The demand for the product isn't there anymore. Or because of government assholes who never met someone they didn't want to rob at gunpoint..RAISED TAXES. Thereby cutting into the companies profit margin. If you cut into a profit margin too far what happens is one of two things, either the company goes out of business..or they have to raise prices. At which point people start complaining how greedy the company is. Uhmmm..No. they're just trying to keep the damn doors open so the people to work for them can continue to work, make the products and get it to the consumer so the consumer can have access to it.
Follow me? It's not rocket science it's simple fracking math!
Which leads us to a discussion on CEO paychecks. Do you NOT think that if the CEO has worked his ass off to keep the company afloat, provide for his workers, and make a profit that he's EARNED what his salary is? CEO's in the larger corporations, hell EVEN in the small businesses that are owned by your average citizen who might take in upwards of a million dollars in pay in a year; don't have much of a social life..most of their life is given over to the company 24/7. Now I don't see a huge paycheck as THAT much of a compensation if I don't have time to enjoy it. Follow me? Good now shut the hell up about it.
Which leads me to Golden Parachutes. A Golden Parachute is part of a CEO's contract who has been brought into a company to save it in a set period of time. They get the money if they DON'T succeed in making the company a success again.
HERE is my problem: Why the hell, should you get this huge payout after you FAILED to save the company Daffy Duck? Honestly..instead of saving the company you make piss poor decisions and run the company into the ground, forcing it into bankruptcy and foreclosure proceedings and you expect to be PAID for being an abysmal fucking failure, you douchebag? Are you kidding me?!!!! I heard a story back in the 90's that IIRC a guy got a $50 million dollar parachute clause in his contract when he was brought into save a company. Did he succeed? Nope. Did he get paid? I assume so, it was stipulated in his contract.
Where is the logic? You're supposed to get paid for success, for Doing. Your. Job. .if you don't do the job your hired for...why should you get a huge payout? You want a parachute? Fine..I'll give you one...I'll strap it to your back for you, right before I have your useless ass thrown out of a plane at 20000 feet. "Have a nice trip. The Middle East, the way I see it.
Okay boys and girls..I haven't payed much attention to the situation in the middle east in the last week or so...*shrug* however..I get tired of these talking heads who say 'well the people are pissed because they haven't seen enough from us. *facepalm* Okay here's a partial list of the uprisings in the last several weeks. I say partial because I think there's been a few added to it since I stopped paying attention
Iran-achmendildojihadi is putting down his demonstrations hard.
Libya- Gadaffy Duck is putting down his fairly hard...keep in mind that like achmendildojihadi..Gadaffy is bugfuck insane.
Egypt-the military is in control for the time being..it's really about the ONLY one that MIght go our way. The military gets all it's equipment and the parts and training to maintain and use it..from the US. Therefore the military has a HUGE stake in maintaining the status quo for the most part.
Jordan- that one might also go 'our' way because the King of Jordan is an ally of the US and Israel. Plus his wife Queen Raina is always out in the public eye so I think she's kinda popular...I hope.
Algeria-that one..is another clusterfluck in the making
Tunisia-Again..we're in Africa and I don't like most of the African countries or their "rulers" Africa has always been a black hole for blood, money, dreams and bodies and it's ALWAYS hungry.
Okay that makes...6 off the top of my head..I can't think of any of the other countries I've heard are trying to fl apart at the seams.
With me so far? Awesome! Now lets discuss the options.

Saddam spent a DECADE laughing at us in the media and spitting in our face because he didn't care..he was still making his money, still in control..and still kingshit of the hill. Which is reason Numero Uno of several that GWB ordered the invasion of Iraq in the first place. He just got tired of it. Reason Numero Dos was of course WMD's but that's another argument and to be honest I'm tired of having it.
3. We, meaning the US..and some of the rest of the world[never happen..none of the rest of the world has the balls anymore]invade. Then the ENTIRE region goes BOOM! And when I say BOOM..I mean *NUCLEAR*, BOOM!! Because as sure as I'm sitting here writing this..the radicals will explode and gain control..attempt to destroy us and bulldozer over Israel. *shrug* Which means Israel at that point is almost guaranteed to go Nuclear. Which alas will inflame the fanatical retards all the more. Which will doubly, alas, piss off the rest of the world..Israels preservation, and desire not to be a footnote in a history rewritten by retards be damned.
At this point I'm of the really dismal opinion that we're damned if we do, and damned if we don't. (sigh..in more ways than one) This does not make me a happy camper, considering the campaign of the Iconoclasts going on within our own country at the moment.
So basically what I'm suggesting is "STay the hell out of the way, and let what is going to happen, happen. If it goes our way, good. If not..be prepared for the probably necessity of glassing over the Middle East from end to end..repeatedly.

Ahhh..how entertaining
I spend a lot of time reading my friend's blog www.urbangrounds.com
He did a post in the last day or so about a piece of shit that was about to get executed..for killing his young baby..by shooting it,twice at close range..to hurt his girlfriend/wife. A wife he admitted he beat on a regular basis. Yet some piece of Eurotrash is going to have a hissy over the way we deal with our 2 legged maggots. Any time my buddy does a death penalty post he gets tons of what we call "thug lovers" chiming in, telling us we're wrong about the douchebag in question, he's just misunderstood, he needs help..yada yada etc, repeat ad nauseum. Well it was a slow roll for this current post because the day after he made it there were six responses on that post..3 of them mine. then I come in today and low and behold 1 piece of Eurotrash and one resident thug lover. Took them long enough considering some of the things my friend Robbie said in his post and me in my comments. Asked Robbie laughingly "was it something I said?" ROFL

Unions aren't the problem?
Really? Well lets talk about Wisconsin shall we? Let us start with THIS little bit of news that's a stunner to me.

So a city bus driver made $109,000 PLUS in OVERTIME ALONE. Which begs the question just how many hours DO you have to work to earn that much over time.
The kids in Madison haven't been in school for 3day!
The School board admins have made a statement that this is NOT considered paid leave time or APPROVED unpaid leave time. So ..also according to the same statement if those teachers are not back in school monday..with a signed [and probably verifiable] doctors note as an excuse..you are going to start having your pay docked.
If I were a parent I would be LIVID. If I had the money I'd be pulling them out of the public school and putting them in a private/charter school. If I had the time..I'd be seriously contemplating homeschooling right now.
In the protests did anyone else besides me notice the almost 6ft tall blonde haired, white guy, in the long sleeve red sweater the protest sign in Arabic he carried? Which begs the question...does he know what it says? I doubt it, and neither do I..BECAUSE I DON'T FUCKING SPEAK ARABIC. Which begs the question..what is it doing at "protest rally" for "Wisconsin Teachers" ?
To me this just SCREAMS of an out of area, bussed in, and PAID protester that was brought in, handed a sign and was told "go protest".
It's reported that one of the local conservative radio show hosts in Madison has proof that a lot of these protesters are exactly that "rent a mobs". People who will protest anything, anytime, anywhere so long as they're PAID.
Oh and by the way..this is a conflict between the STATE government and the STATE TEACHERS union. So what? Pray tell is the head of the goddamn AFL-CIO union doing there? And don't tell me lending his support. Not buying it. more like playing power politics.

I Am the Democratic Liberal-Progressive's Worst Nightmare. I am a White, Conservative, Tax-Paying, American Veteran, Gun Owning Biker. I am a Master leatherworker. I work hard and long hours with my hands to earn a living. I believe in God and the free...dom of religion, but I don't push it on others. I ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles, and drive American-made cars, and I believe in American products and buy them whenever I can. The Superbowl yeah yeah whatever..
Seriously? I could have cared less. I had people asking me for 2 or 3 days. "You ready for the superbowl?" "You gonna throw a big BBQ bash for the game?" "You gonna grill up a bunch of food?" "You going to someone elses party for the game?" 'Who you rooting for?"
My universal response for all those questions what the same:
I flat out do NOT give a flying fuck about the goddamn superbowl. I didn't throw a party, didn't go to someone else's party, didn't grill because I didn't feel like it and didn't even bother to watch the goddamn thing. I watched a movie and then watched poker on TV. I went out and brought back Burger King for the family and a philly from Subway for myself.
"but but..that's unamerican?" Fuck and you. I haven't paid all that much attention to Pro sports in years and years. Why? Well the players are a bunch of overwheening, arrogant and overpaid pricks on an ego trip by and large. They SAY they love the came but a lot of the up and comers in the last decade or so are glory hounds who only care about the money they can make playing, the endorsement deals they can land or the shoes they can get named after themselves. Hell even a number of the college ball players are only in it to try and get a pro career for themselves.
As I've said many times in the past, we've become a nation of bread, coliseum's and circuses. We put these shallow, hollow people up on a pedastal and worship them as gods and hero's. We put waaaay too much value on the facade as opposed to the reality. Makes me nauseous. It's why "reality shows" piss me off so bad. While it's not scripted exactly, the possibilities are planned for because the producers put together people with differing personality types to watch the sparks fly so the networks can make money. As for the ones having to do with finding love? Dude if you seriously expect you're going to see someone TRULY fall in love, live and in living color, after randomly picking and choosing among a bunch of people thrown together in a big contest, in just a few short weeks you're fucking insane.
Hell look at our current President. An empty soulless puppet. Who never held down a real job, who has been groomed for the role. This puppet puts on a razzle dazzle of a show, tells people what they WANT to hear and the people fall for his bullshit; hook, line and sinker. He landed us[not me because I saw from the beginning of course]and now he's busy gutting us..and the mindless multitudes of mental midgets who voted for him; now have the GAUL to act all shocked, shaken and shit at what this puppet has embarked upon and the things he doing?
Hmmm..this started off as a stuperbowl rant and switched directions into a political rant..go figure. *shrug* It is what it is. Well..I'm off for now.
