Obama on Social Security and other gov't ponzi schemes

Oh this is PRICELESS...The ONE has given a speech where he says that "Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security — must be adjusted by Democrats and Republicans acting together rather than by dictates from the White House." Why? because he is going to run again and if he can get congress to do it rather than him..CONGRESS becomes the bad guy.

"The president described his $3.73 trillion budget as one of tough choices. It aims to reduce the deficit by $1.1 trillion over 10 years with a mix of spending freezes on domestic programs, pay hike suspensions for federal civilian workers and new revenues from increased taxes on the wealthy and on oil and gas producers."

Oh really? 1.1 trillion in savings over 10years when you've just raised the national debt by just under 4 trillion in 2yrs? Seriously?
Don't make me laugh.

When George W. Bush as president made similar suggestions in his 2005 State of the Union address he was crucified. The left screamed blue bloody murder and"How DARE He?!"
Yet now when it's a Socialist DEMOCRAT President suggesting it...everything is going to be lovey dovey and it's a good idea? Ahhh the HYPOCRACY involved in this is just staggering to the mind.
Here's suggestion to our President and our congress..stop spending money like a drunken sailor at a whorehouse on shore leave you assholes!

Ahh the huffpo

And now I bring you the wisdom of some of the comments so far on NPR...

Just raise the ceiling on taxable income subject to social security and medicare taxes and the system will balance itself. This is NOT the time to cut off benefits for all those who are now and will be depending on them for basic needs. We must keep our promises

Now this next one I like..and agree with:

I get the impression Obama is more worried about looking good and staying out of blames way than solving any real problems. Like with health care he just punted the budget to congress so they can be the ones who look bad.

Pretty pathetic.

And now some staggeringly brilliant[snort] commentary from our friends at the Huffington Blowjob:

Do I understand the conservatives right? Do they actually want to raise SS retirement age forcing old people to remain in the work force keeping the younger workers from advancing in their careers thus reducing their own wages? And this during a time frame when there aren't enough jobs to go around as it is? That's amazing! How do their leaders get them to cut their own throats like that on every issue?

.... the actual scenario is decidedly worse... most Repub voters are semi-comatose, and need no Fox News brainwashing, as they are already in a complete fog from tossing down Jack Daniels and grits for breakfast, or whatever brew they can distill from their home grown mash.

ahhh...

isn't the brilliance there astounding?

I know the decided lack of a functioning brain is.
