More Eco scaremongering crap.

I was on facebook and one of my liberal friends posted the link for this article from the houston chronicle:

I got finished with it and the first thought that came to mind was a sarcastic one "nigga, please!"[and if you start that political correctness crap and say I'm racist I will smack the crap out of you. *I* am color blind]
Just for sheer entertainment and aggravation value..lets play the cut and paste response will be in italics this time boys and girls:

Q. Do you still feel like humans are close to triggering another great extinction?

A. I'm afraid so. I will talk a little bit about that in Houston. I'm also, at the moment, talking with various colleagues about the possibility of doing a big film like Al Gore's film, An Inconvenient Truth. It would be on this extinction and dealing with the whole human population and what we're just doing to the habitat because of our numbers.

Oh really? Because we're doing what [if you believe in the bible] the lord told us to do? "Be fruitful and multiply" Hmmm..yep that was what he done told us to do and that's what we've BEEN doing. Now if your not into religion here's a newsflash..we're following a natural progression..we're made to procreate, to multiply. So denying our NATURE, our genetic predispostion, the genetic imperative[not to mention the genetic imperative of EVERY, SINGLE LIVING THING on this planet] to multiply, to spread our the answer? Really doc? you are a conceited ass.

Q. Al Gore's film had a policy objective, capping carbon dioxide emissions. If you were to do a similar film for conservation efforts, what would your policy objective be?

A. It's hard to say because the film isn't written, but waste is an important aspect people can address, wasting of resources. I think also smaller families to address population. I think population size is something we've got to address, and I think people have got to be persuaded this is a serious issue. We have had mega-extinctions before, where 70 to 80 percent of the population has disappeared, and there's no reason to suppose we're not into another one. We're not far away from that number today. We're losing species in numbers that simply aren't sustainable.

Al Gore's film didn't just have a *policy* objective, it was a fear mongering, propagandist pile of steaming dogshit. Based on lies and damned lies To think that humans can alter the temperature of so large a thing as our biosphere is the very height of arrogance. The temperature is regulated by water, and that big heat radiating ball of light in our sky. Perhaps you've heard of it? It's called the Sun? Asshat.

Q. How is humanity triggering an extinction?

A. We're reaching a point today where the loss of species today is exceeding the loss of species when the dinosaurs were taken out. This would have catastrophic implications for the loss of life, not necessarily our life, but the life we see on the planet upon which we are dependent for many things — pharmacology, agriculture and things of that kind.

Wrong. If something becomes extinct something ELSE will fill in the gap. It's a function of natural selection.

Q. Some people say, "Well what of it? Humans are on top of the food chain, so does it really matter?"

A. I think that's an arrogant viewpoint, and I think it misrepresents what the food chain really is. We are on the top, but the food chain has a long line behind it, and we haven't figured out things at the end of the food chain, like bacteria and viruses and what they could do if stimulated or if the food chain is shaken up. I think we ought to be a little more reasoned in our consideration of these things.

No doc..YOU are the arrogant one. if the food chain is "shaken up" as you put it, life..WE will adapt.'s happened before. We just adapt better than probably any other organism on the planet.

Q. In the last decade there's been a lot of talk about climate change. Has that message swamped the conservation message, or can the two issues work together?

A. Well I think they're very much two parts of the same thing, and I think maybe the conservation message was prematurely presented on its own and maybe should have been presented as part of a bigger picture. Without habitat conservation, without recognizing the importance of water and ecosystems, no amount of good effort except putting animals behind bars is going to help.

Why yes doctor..they ARE the same thing. A complete crock of shit. Both issues are fear mongering, working, or rather being worked, or milked if you prefer for one purpose. So a certain type/group of people can take complete and total control. Make us other than what we are Make us slaves. thank you..but no thank you.

Q. Can you give me an example or two of conservation issues that really trouble you?

A. Look at the fish stocks. We've basically cleaned out the sea, in relation to commercial species and numbers that would make them commercially viable. In inland waterways we've poisoned them with mercury and other things to the point where we can't eat them. I think we're setting up for a fall with our constant use of antibiotics and antiviral medicines for plants and animals. Sooner or later something's going to get a resistance, and you could wipe out the chickens of the world. Or you could wipe out wheat or rice. Then you're not talking about the United States, you're talking about the globe with 6 or 7 billion people.

Dear Lord I hate this intellectually disingenuous crap.'s likely pumping all those anti bacterials will backfire eventually. I won't dispute that one because I think it's true. however I want you to think on this one boys and girls. Do you honestly think those antibacterials are for the cow or the chickens benefit? Nope they're for ours. We ingest those and they make our systems stronger. give a boost to our systems. Which in turn and as a by product gives us a longer life span. Something the people like Doc Leakey will fail to mention. Again let me say..yes I think this will backfire on us one day, some super bug will wipe out a good chunk of the population and we'll start over again. But AGAIN it's a function of natural selection. It happens all the time. If the chicken is made extinct by some bug..*shrug* eat more turkey.

Q. Are there any hopeful signs out there in conservation of species or nature?

A. I think minor efforts show that some species can be brought back from the brink. We have certainly, in my lifetime, seen great improvements to environmental management in big cities, particularly in developed countries. But as you know, it's not just the developed countries we have to worry about, and that's the hard bringing them back from the brink you're jacking with mother nature...mother nature doesn't like her plans pissed on. Keep in mind people..this planet tries to kill us in myriad number of ways. Every. Single. Day. Bacteria, Virii, Earthquakes, Hurricanes, Floods, Mudslides, Heavy Snowfall, Volcanoes, Tsunamis..etc etc ad nauseum. So WHY for crying out loud, does a certain subset of the human species insist on feeling guilty for surviving everything the universe can throw at us? If you people really feel that guilty and want to atone for it...fine go drink your arsenic laced kool-aid, or your strychnine laced food or whatever, drop dead and leave the rest of us to do what we were meant to do. Survive, be fruitful and multiply. To do what every other living organism on this rock floating in space LIVE!!!

Okay it's 2 in the mornin. Da Curly one is gonna go answer morpheus' call now. nighty night Don't let the bed bugs bite.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled inanity and insanity.

Okay now for a FUN post!

Okay..taking a break from Politics for the weekend. I will be back on the political front with another "Rush Project" post come tomorrow. TodayThough? Today I bring you a song that is probably one of my favorites of all time. Off of The Who's album Quadraphenia "Love Reign O'er Me" as done by Eddie Vetter and Pearl Jam. I'm jamming on my Who's Greatest Hits album right now, and had this one blasting out of my speakers at an OBSCENELY , House Shaking, high volume a few minutes ago. Enjoy boys and girls

Okay..lets talk

I'm now going to say several things that are probably going to be exceedingly offensive..especially to those on the left. Don't want your blood pressure raised? don't read any farther. I'll give you til the count of 10

Okay if you're still reading this..don't blame me when your head explodes you were bloody well warned!

Article 1.
*Double Facepalm* when the fail is so epic ONE facepalm just isn't enough

Let me get this fired a man for "Telling the Truth" about how he feels? What the hell? Oh well..this is easy enough to rectify..let Fox hire him[wouldn't be at all surprised if that happened frankly] and either put him on an existing show or give him his own. What time slot? Geez people do I have to think of every thing? Fox runs Orielly 2x at 7 and 10. They run Glenn 2x at 4 and 1am. They repeat...Greta I believe it is at midnight. Pick. A. Slot, and put Juan in it. sheesh.

Also lets not forget this little tidbit

Keep in mind Soros has tried this before with Air America and another station the name of which escapes me at the moment. And Rupert Murdoch gets slammed for supposedly running a Republican propaganda machine? not true. OTOH..even if it were[which it's not]..Pot Kettle. Black. The Main Stream Media and the tax payer funded NPR and PBS are devoutly liberal and have been for a long time. Since before I was born as a matter of fact.

And to Move On[just a little humor for you] right along..there was this tidbit about Sarah Palin getting slammed by the left. The left who apparently don't know U.S. History very well.

Not really surpising though when you consider how much of history is being taught and rewritten with a liberal 'Anit American' bias. Everything is America's fault. The world is falling apart and it's America's fault. Global Warming is destroying the world and it's America's Fault.
*headdesk, headdesk, headdesk* "And that's when I shot him your honor."

This liberal communist mindset is tearing our country apart. Nikita Kruschev once said "We will destroy America without firing a shot" actually depending on who or where you read he said "we will bury you without firing a shot." And they are doing it too.
This boys and girls not only pisses me off beyond belief but that mind set worries me because that kind of thinking has given us our current set of politicians on the left. Some on the right are no better. The solution History teaching wise? See if you can find the older textbooks in good condition. Then ADD current history to them without changing a single word of the original text. Teach the constitution. Teach your children to think critically and logically, because all this 'touchy feely' crap is nauseating.
Let me give you an example of what I mean.
You have groups like the Sea Sheperds who are anti whaling. And while I have NO love for the Japanese...whenever you see or hear about something like whaling it's never mentioned WHY we whaled in the first place. Food and oil. That's right. Oil lamps and what not in the past were fueled by whale fat. Blubber. The rest of the whale didn't exactly go to waste either. Because when you are doing something to survive..welllll...waste not want not. Any kind of hunting.. is quite frankly. survival of the species boys and girls because if you don't hunt and kill to die.
All this talk of animal cruelty over cattle and pigs, and others you see nowadays. They are bred and raised to be meat on our table; and in the case of the cattle..also to produce milk for our tables. You didn't think some fairy somewhere just waves his magic wand to create milk, and bacon, and ham, and steaks, and burgers etc, etc..out of thin air did you? Same thing for chicken and eggs and any other type of animal you might find on your table. While yes there are some cases of what I'd consider cruelty, by and large it's all crap. They are THERE to provide sustenance goddammit! Jesus Jumpin H. Christ! Do you think the wolf weeps for the deer while it takes it down and rips out its throat? Or the lion weeps for the gazelle the zebra and every other living thing it hunts? You think the alligator weeps for anything that happens to cross it's path and become a meal? Do You? [the correct answer by the way boys and girls is NO]
No other animal on the planet me thinks can surpass the human being for sheer self destructive stupid behavior I swear. It's infuriating to me.

EDIT 830PM: God I LOVE being right. It was announced about 5pm[or at least thats when I heard about it] that Fox has signed Juan Williams to a multi year contrac. One that is of "wider scope" than what he currently does as just a commentator. Whether this means they give him his own show is yet to be seen but me thinks that NPR is about to take an anal probe in retaliation for that firing. *grin*

The Way Things Ought To Be. Ch5. Pt.2

Here you are. Enjoy the words of Rush. I shall post my own thoughts and current similarities tomorrow. Sorry I was late boys and girls.

Working people are striving against the odds to make it in this country and all the government can do is view them as a revenue target. While picking their pockets the government has the audacity to fist a guilt trip on them to boot. They’re made to feel responsible for everything. Look at AIDS. A terrible disease, but it is largely behaviorally spread. Yet all we hear is that “people aren’t doing enough about it.”

There’s one simple thing that could be done about it. People could stop ------ AROUND! Instead, the kids of god-fearing parents are handing condoms in school and told, “We know you are just a bunch of little minks, that we can’t stop you from exploring your sexuality and doing wrong and dangerous things. So here, take this condom and protect yourself.” In many school districts, parents aren’t even allowed a say in the matter. Well, if the schools are serious, what they ought to do is convert the study hall into a giant bedroom with beds and clean sheets. Have the principal and the school nurse demonstrate to every couple how to use a condom, then observe them to ensure they do it right. Hell we may as well go all the way. In fact, if the schools are so certain that kids are going to do this, what they ought to do is find disease free hookers and bring ‘em in. Teach a little supply and demand. We’re getting to the point where the tax producers will someday be outnumbered by the tax eaters of society. Those who choose to accept the responsibilities of life have had enough of being told that they should give more to those who don’t shoulder those responsibilities. We’re supposed to feel sorry for this group and that group. For the downtrodden. For Native Americans. For those who suffered because Columbus landed. What about feeling sorry for those who are living, who pay the taxes? Those are the people NO ONE ever feels sorry for. They are asked to give and give until they have no more to give. And when they say “Enough!” they are called selfish. The TV news keeps rerunning stories about the decade of greed we had in the 80’s. You could shut down every TV station in America and rerun the news from 5 years ago and it wouldn’t be any different. Everything is the fault of the people who don’t give enough. This despite the fact that charitable contributions during the “avaricious” eighties climbed at an astonishing rate. But that’s not enough.

Then we have the spaced out Hollywood left eating beans and rice to focus attention on the evils of capitalism. We are told that there is an inequitable distribution of food and other products under capitalism. Wrong. That’s not the problem. The worlds biggest problem is the unequal distribution of capitalism. If there were capitalism everywhere, you wouldn’t have food shortages. If capitalism is the problem, how is it that the U.S. is the only nation in the world that can feed itself and still feed much of the rest of the planet? That won’t last much longer though. The American farmer is being put out of business by a bunch of people who are more concerned with the rights of animals than they are with assuring that the American people have enough food at an affordable price. We’re told that cows are our biggest enemy.. I say, Pass the Burgers.

In school we’re teaching our kids about tribal Africa instead of Aristotle. We’re not teaching anything else very well. Our kids get lower scores on math and English tests every year. As a result, kids from backwater European and Asian countries are outperforming our kids left and right in school because we’re hung up on teaching feel good history and worthless social gobbledygook.

I could go on about the insanities that are loose in the country, all of it tolerated just so a bunch of aggrieved weirdos who don’t fit in can feel better about themselves. They control many of our institutions, our universities, our major media outlets. They all have cushy jobs, they never seem to get fired or laid off.

Dan Rostenkowski, the House Ways and Means Chairman says, “We will all have to sacrifice to fix our nation’s problems.” Congressman, what the hell do you think everybody’s been doing because of your policies ad your ideas? The people who work in this country have been sacrificing, and for a lot of people who aren’t related to them. And now you want to increase the sacrificing by raising taxes? Congressman, can you or anyone else show me where any society in human history has taxed itself into prosperity? No, you can’t.

The sympathy in this country is never for those on whose shoulders the burden actually rests, the diligent middle class. The sympathy is directed at people like the woman who was killed last year after she fell asleep in a dumpster and was crushed by a garbage truck as it picked up the trash. The American people had that story thrown in their face for a week. They were told it was their fault that it happened! That the woman was so hopeless that she had to rummage around in dumpsters for food. Nobody put that woman in the dumpster, she climbed in herself. It later turned out she was not homeless but was just looking for a few bargains and she fell asleep. You sleep in a trash dumpster, you run the risk of being crushed by the dumpster truck. A sad and unfortunate story to be sure, but not one aspect of it is the fault of the American economy or the American people.

Then there is the obligatory sympathy after the first freezing night of the winter when a homeless person is discovered dead on the sidewalke. The news reports are delivered solemnly and with deep feelings of sorrow. This happened, they say, because Reagan didn’t care and because selfishness and greed now permeate American society. A couple of days later, after the autopsy it was learned that was drinking a cheap wine called Cooled Breeze-referred to compassionately by reporters as “his beverage of choice”- and died from cirrhosis of the liver.

People are going to have to start accepting responsibility for their actions and stop bleeding the people in this country who accept their responsibilities and who see to it that the country works. This is still America, but increasingly many of us don’t recognize it. Finally I am weary and near my wits end at having to listen to the complaint that the American safety net has holes in it and too many people are slipping through. Wrong. The problem is that too many people are using that safety net as a hammock..

Thank you and may God Bless you.

The reaction of the audience was exceptional, which didn’t surprise me. I’m used to that. Many said I should send it to the White House so that the President could use it in his State of the Union address.

Missives from the TeaHAG

Okay lads and lasses. On top of the Rush Projects..I will also be doing these 'Missives from the TeaHAG' posts. As I've told you before a friend of mine has started blogging on her FB...and she's now given her TeaHAG pen name it's own page to post blog entries on. At the moment..I'm thinking these will be 'semi regular' but the lady may surprise me..she generally does. Probably because she's a natural redhead. :)
anyway..without further ado..I bring you her voice:

Al Queda's Online Magazine, where's the outrage?

by Tea HAG (Heroine Against Government) on Friday, October 15, 2010 at 10:35pm

This summer Al Queda introduced an Online English Language Magazine that encourages "Lone Wolf" or individual terrorist actions on a small scale. This supposedly is sent out by e-mailing a link to the subscribers and targets English Language readers and essentially lays down how to operate one man operations. It seems that while waiting on the opportune moment to make the biggest bang since Obama and Nepolitano are asleep at the wheel the terrorists are hoping for more "Lone Wolf" actors like the Pig who shot up Ft Hood will play small but effective roles against the civilian population. What is so disturbing about this online magazine is that it is written by someone who spent a good part of his life living in the United States as an Imam and ran a similar website playing videos of actions involving US soldiers in Iraq and Afganistan.

Who knows how many people this creep has influenced or has the capability of influincing especially now that he's publishing in English? The main stream media has hardly said word one about this new threat due to the fear of being "racist" or "trouble makers". I'm sorry but it's that bull crap behavior and being in love with their own political correctness that allowed the tragedy at Fort Hood to happen to begin with. I'd like to BE AWARE that such a site exists and how they are proposing wanna be terrorists to strike out. It's the job of the media to report the news, and this is BIG news.

I'm asking my readers to voice their outrage to their local media outlets and tell them you need to know what the possible threats are to you and your family and they need to stop sleeping on the job, tell them you will NOT stand for this biased coverage any longer

The Way Things Ought to Be Ch. 5 Pt 1

As previously mentioned in the first of the "RUSH Project" posts. I'm going to have to split chapters up into sections and give each section it's own separate post.'s part 1 of chapter 5. which has part of a rant Rush did in 1991. The other half of the rant will be in another post. Which I'll probably post tomorrow. monday at the latest.

Chapter 5. The State of the Union.

The Thanksgiving weekend of 1991 was the first one in a long time which I didn’t spend traveling. This meant that I had a chance to watch more consecutive days of television than I had in many moons (a little Indian lingo there). I was appalled , shocked depressed, then finally enraged at what I saw and heard. I was fuming, livid. Upon returning to the golden EIB microphone the following Monday I delivered a monologue which was devoted to sharing my emotions and thoughts about the bilge and psychobabble I had seen over the weekend. I submit it here for the ages:

Ladies and Gentleman, I’ve hit my boiling point. Like that character in the movie Network, “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore” I have about had it being told that the plight of the homeless is my fault. I’m sick and tire of turning on my tv and being told that the AIDS crisis is my fault too, because I don’t care enough. I’m tired of hearing about how we’re not spending enough on AIDS, even though we’re spending more money on it than we do in the war on cancer.

Any of this sound familiar?

In this 500th anniversary year of Columbus’s Voyage, I’m tired of hearing him trashed. I don’t give a hoot that he gave some Indians a disease that they didn’t have immunity against We can’t change that, we’re here. We’re the best country on earth and I’m sick and tired of people trying to change history so as to portray this country as an instrument of evil. It isn’t true. I’m sick and tired of hearing Western Culture constantly disparage. “Hey, hey, ho, ho, Western Culture’s got to go,” is the chant at Stanford University. What would Stanford be if the pioneers that are so reviled today as imperialists, racists, sexists, bigots, and homphobes hadn’t fought their way across a continent to California?

Again..any of this sound familiar? We've been hearing similar rhetoric from the Democrats since 08. Gets really old after a while doesn't it?

The American middle class is just plain tire and worn out. They get blamed for everything in this country. They are taxed more than ever, and now they have to put up with lectures about how we have to ship billions of dollars to the former soviet union so they can eat this winger, even though it’s cold there every winter and the poeple there have been hoarding food in their cellars for months. As if that’s not enough, the American people are sick and tired of hearing that they have to pay the Russians to dismantle their nuclear weapons.

I’m sick and tired of turning on the television every Thanksgiving weekend and looking at news reports of how rotten a Christmas season we’re going to have. There’s no news in that. Every year they go out and do the same story. They report the American people aren’t spending as much, that “this year they’re not wasting money.” Well, excuse me. The American people never waste money. To say this is the first year that consumers are looking for a deal is stupid. They look for a deal everyday, not just every Christmas. No one I know goes in and throws money around. “Americans are shopping more carefully these days,” the news media tells us. The reason they’re doing that is because we’ve been in the deepest recession in years, taxes are going through the roof and we have people like Richard Gephardt, the House Majority Leader, telling us that the American people expect too much from Congress.

I disagree with Gephardt by the way..but then Rush is about to say what I'm thinking anyway

The truth is the American people wish Congress would leave them alone. In 1990 they ganged up with President Bush and promised to reduce the deficit by imposing the largest peacetime tax increase in history. No they’re screaming again for more taxes and the deficit just hit $400 Billion a year. The members of Congress are now back in their districts begging for our votes. The nerve. People I talk to are paying their medical bills by exceeding their credit card limits. Members of Congress exempt themselves from the laws they impose on us, pass their midnight pay raises, overdraw their accounts at the House Bank, and then take a junket to some exotic Caribbean island with some lobbyists. Then they dare tell us that it’s our fault for wanting to keep more of the money we earn and not surrender it in taxes..

Again he says exactly what most of us are thinking. Not only that..we're going through much the same rigamarole and bullshit now.

Here's a hint Now instead of a $400 BILLION budget deficit. We have a $1.3 TRILLION budget deficit:

And to top it all off..we have the expiration of the Bush Tax Cuts. Which will result in a HUGE tax hike. The Estate Tax alone is expected to jump to between 50- 60%. Which means the government get more than HALF of whatever you/your family has when you croak. Just fracking wonderful. Doesn't that just make you feel all warm and fuzzy all over? The words "And they have the GALL" does not even begin to cover it.

Now can't take it with you when you go..however don't you think what happens to your money and property when you croak should be YOUR decision..not some government bureaucrats? Frankly I'd like to kick the guy who wrote the article I just posted the link for in the head. The reason for a deficit is because you've SPENT more than you EARNED or in the governments case more than they've TAKEN IN, in taxes. BTW has anyone stopped to consider that the reason the deficit is that high is because the Obama Administration has SPENT more than that in just the Tarp and the Bank and Auto Bailouts? Think about that for minute. Newsflash to the federal government. Get out of my wallet, and my life and stop spending so goddamn much. LEARN to live on a 'budget' like the rest of us.
but of course this won't happen.

the other half of Chapter 5 I will post by Monday at the latest. Most likely sometime late tomorrow or middle of the day Sunday.

Oh and here's the National Debt Clock:

A debt that according to a recent article by U.S. News is supposed to hit 25.8 TRILLION by 2020. It currently stands as of right this second $ 13,593,889,563 and rising at a rate of more than one million dollars a minute.

Gangs In Texas

I read a scary story yesterday in the very liberal rag, the Houston Chronicle. I don't waste my money on it during the week by and large. I do get it on Sunday though. For the coupons mostly.
Anyway..I read this article on gangs in Texas
Almost all the gangs in Texas, if not all of them period, call Houston home. Makes me feel all warm fuzzy and safe let me tell you.

Gangs in Houston and the surrounding region:

10,000: Documented gangsters

225: Gangs in the Houston region

446: Drug-trafficking organizations

Source: Houston HIDTA, Houston Police\

Notice that the status on gang members is known gangbangers. IOW those who have been arrested at least once. The numbers of actual members I can guarantee you is much MUCH higher.

Here's another scary tidbit from article

"As of this year, there were 225 documented gangs roaming the area, according to intelligence reports, the biggest being the "Houstones," with at least 2,233 members that have been confirmed by police.

Their soldiers alone equate to about 43 percent of the number of Houston police officers."

That's ONE gangs known 'soldiers' alone equals almost half the number of Houston police officers currently serving. If that does NOT scare the shit out of you..then you my friend...ARE A BRAIN DAMAGED, DROOLING, FUCKING MORON!

Another snippet from the article

"It is a national trend that they are moving from the inner cities to suburbs to rural areas," said Capt. Dale Brown, commander of the Houston Police Department's gang division. "There is virtually no part of Houston or the surrounding area that doesn't have some kind of gang presence."

Really? No shit? Well thanks for the newsflash but it is NOT news to me! I have several that run out of my neighborhood. Though the private security firm that patrols constantly has put a dent in the gangbangers activities over the last few years.
I know for a fact that the 59 Bounty Hunters and the Southwest Cholos to name two are in my neighborhood. There are others. The59 Bounty Hunters if I remember my gangbang affilations right are an offshoot of the bloods. I may be disremembering that fact wrong but it's been a long while since I've talked to our security guy. I haven't heard of much activity around here lately. I don't know whether thats because through the efforts of the security firm and hpd they've got them on the run? Or whether the gangbangers have branched out, and are laying low for the most part. *shrug* your guess is as good as mine

And now they've gone international in their affiliations and business dealings. Although I believe thats probably always been the case with the big boys like the Texas Syndicate. like this and the crimewave these little fuckers create is one reason I think being a gang banger should come with an automatic death sentence, no appeal necessary. I know that this sentiment does NOT make me popular..either with the gangbangers themselves..or the people I know of that work to try and get at least some of the younger ones out and back into a 'normal' life. But it has gotten to the point that the gangs are everywhere and no one, anywhere is safe. I suspect that if you looked into the all the unsolved home invasion/robbery/'d probably find that a lot of them were committed by gangbangers. Or those being initiated into the gangs by committing these crimes before being jumped in. :

With the connections now known to the various cartels in Mexico..this situation is now ridiculously bad. Until we start executing gangbangers [which will mean a depopulation of the prison population..hooray!] and until we, the regular citizens are willing to stand up, and more importantly be willing to use lethal force, repeatedly to get the point across that we aren't going to tolerate this shit's only going to get worse. You people think it's bad on our side of the border now? Wait until a good chunk of the state is like the gangwar torn areas on the mexican side of the border.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled inanity and insanity

The Way Things Ought to Be..Chapter 2

behold my friends. the start of me fulfilling my promise. My commentary will be interspersed in bold. Yes these posts are long. I may end up breaking some of the chapters up between posts in the future.

People: think for yourselves. Or demonstrating absurdity by being absurd.

I have always been concerned that too many people are credulous, to willing to accept all of the propaganda that is showered on them daily by the media and politicians. That’s why I try to provoke any audience into thinking for themselves and not blindly accepting all they are spoon-fed by the media, my self included. How did do this? Psychologically. Each Friday I urge people to pursue their weekend with reckless abandon, and not to worry about keeping up with the news, because I will do it for them. They need only tune in to my show in Monday and I will tell them about any important events which took place over the weekend and as a bonus, will also tell them what to think.

This bewilders and confuses my critics, who shriek and moan that I am attempting to take over the country and poison people’s minds. Nope. That is what they do, with their political correctness and dominance of the media. My little offer to think for people motivates them to do just the opposite: to think for themselves. Kind of like Ross Perot saying he never wanted the presidency, that he wouldn’t give 3 cents for the job. We all know what happened. Millions of people literally begged him to run…just as he’d planned.. See how it works? In fact, I want people to think for themselves and not believe everything they hear or read…except what I say or write.

As I’ve said elsewhere in this book, I often illustrate my points with real life examples; stated another way, I like to demonstrate the absurd by being absurd. One vehicle I use sometimes to demonstrate the absurd is the Update feature of my show. Other times I demonstrate the absurd through my monologue or in bits I do on the show.

Glenn Beck if you listen to him will say repeatedly constantly, pretty much every day "Please, Don't take my word for it. Do your own research." In that he and Rush and others are similar.

The Rush Updates.

A lot of people have wondered where the updates on my show originated. In the Update feature of my show, I share with the audience an item from the news on any one of a variety of cultural and political topics. Each Update is introduced by an update theme which I have chosen for that particular topic. Often but not always, the updates are satirical in nature. There are updates on the homeless, animal rights, feminazi’s, Gov Mario Cuomo, condoms, victims and several other topics..

The updates were born 6 months after I began hosting my radio show in Sacramento, in 1985. 600 sons and daughters of rich democrats were going to march from Los Angeles to Washington in what was billed the Great Peach March for Global Nuclear Disarmament. Because I felt that the peace movement was inherently anti-U.S., yet was reported as substantive and morally correct by a willing and sympathetic media, I determined that I wanted to comment on it each day, to be persuasive and passionate about my views. For some reason I just decided off the top of my head to introduce each day’s commentary with a hokey peace song. I remember seeing and laughing at Slim Whitman’s vocal portrayal of “Una Paloma Blanca” in one of those irritating, two minute tv commercials offering Slim’s Greatest His on the pan flute. Music to use your Ginsu knife by. I found the tune , mixed some bomb sound effects in with it just to tweak any long haired maggot infested dope smoking peace pansies who might hear it. And voila, the Peace Update was born.

Well, after about 6 weeks I heard that an Ohio minister had called a news conference. He said that he had found a satanic verse in the theme from the tv show Mister Ed. He wanted that theme banned because it was poisoning the mines of America’s youth. When asked what was satanic about the Mister Ed theme the minister claimed that when you played it backwards on a turntable the part that goes “A horse is a horse of course of course” turned into “s-s-s-satan,s-s-s-satan.”

I thought this was too good to pass up, and I resolved to find a satanic message in “Una Paloma Blanca,” that song of peace, hope and charity I’d been playing. The next morning, a Tuesday, I told my listeners that I came before them that day with a heavy heart. I told them that I had tried to be righteous, honest, and truthful. I have never knowingly led them down the wrong path. But I had to confess that I had now been unwittingly co-opted by yes, EVIL.

Friends I said, I don’t know if I can continue as your host.. I have subjected you to an unspeakable abomination. I have poisoned this program, but I cannot tell you exactly how. It’s buried in the song “Una Paloma Blanca.” Even If I rid this show of this evil, can I ever in the eyes of God by truthful and honest with you again? If I didn’t know this time that I was co-opted by evil, it might happen again. I told my audience that I expected to resign from the program by the end of the week.

I went into a break, then opened the phones. My call screener came out and asked me how long I was going to go on with this gag.. He said callers were taking it seriously, saying that I must have been spreading devil worship and that I hadn’t been fair to them. They all wanted to know what I had done. He urged me to fess up to the joke before Friday.

I waited 2 days, until Thursday. Then I went on the air and said that the demands of listeners to know the evil I had subjected them to were overwhelming. Ladies and gentleman, I suggest that those of you who are weak in our faith not listen. Turn to another station. It will be at least five minutes before you can tune back in, then it will be okay. But I warn you, if you listen to this and your faith is weak, I won’t accept responsibility.

I then played Slim Whitman’s song. backwards. The devil himself was lurking in the record grooves. “Tell me, where did you get a turntable that plays backwards like this?” the devils voice asked. “My disciples and I have been waiting for this for years. We can only find them in ministers homes and we don’t like going there very much. Well I promise I’ll never forget you now that I’ve found you. Good to know you. We’ll be talking again.” The music faded away into silence. The phones were going crazy. My sides were splitting with laughter. By absurd parody, I had illustrated the folly of the Ohio minister’s claims.

The next caller said “Rush Rush, Ihave everyone of Slim Whitman’s records. Should I burn them?” I told him, Yes.

The funniest call that came in was from Rio Linda, the benighted armpit of Sacramento. This guy called in from his front porch. He had been listening to me ever since I came to Sacramento, and he hated me. He had been waiting to prove me wrong for months. He was convinced that I was a hypocrite, a liar and a phony. Now he had his evidence, ‘Hey I don’t believe this crap you’ve been saying about Slim Whitman,” he began. I asked him how he could say that, seeing that I had gone through torture for a whole week over it. “I don’t believe any of it. You can’t fool me. You think we’re all stupid out here.” I politely told him that I had risked my career to inform him of what had been happening with the record. He interrupted me. “Listen pal, you’re not dealing with idiots out here. I have that record. You understand? I have it. And my turntable don’t play backwards but I ain’t no fool. I just put that needle on the end of the record and spun it backwards. There ain’t no message in that song. What do you got to say to that?” By this time I was laughing so hard I had to to turn off the mike. I took a deep breath, put the caller on again, and asked him what year his turntable had been made. “What do you mean? You’re just trying to weasel out of it.” I told him no, and repeated the question. He said it was 1979 or 1980.

“Ahh..that’s the problem,” I said.. “You see, turntables made before 1983 don’t have the disgronificator.” “what the hell is this disgronificator?” my Rio Linda caller asked. “It’s new laser technology, sir. It expands the dynamic range and allows you to clip the high end of the trebles and the low end of the bass and expands the midrange where the satanic message is located. You can only hear it on a new turntable.” “You mean to tell me that if I went and bought a turntable made after 1983, I could spin that record backwards and hear that message. Is that what you’re saying?” I told him that he should ask for the disgronificator circuitry and if the turntable had it he would be able to hear the devils message. He said he would try asking for one.

By this time I had lost my composure. I forgot to tell him to go down to the local Philco electronics store, where they could make him a special deal. I would have known whether he actually tried to buy one.. I would love to have known if he really fell for the joke.

A year later, we repeated the whole bit, only this time we were honest about the gag. We told them exactly how the joke worked. Even then many people believed it, and I had to reassure several callers that the devil had not taken over the Rush Limbaugh show.

So that was the auspicious beginning of my Updates, which have now expanded to cover a multitude of topics I consider worthy of comment, lampooning, or observation. The updates rarely grow into the kind of episode I just described, but they are all intended to make a point about a political or cultural topic that is newsworthy at the time.

I miss the updates..he doesn't really do them anymore and I always got a kick out of them. Especially the songs he used. The animal rights report was funny as was the Song 'Born Free' with animal sounds and gunshots interspersed or overlaid into the song. Then there was the one he used for the Ted Kennedy update. The Philanderer..set to the tune of the classic song 'The Wanderer'. There's a chapter devoted to Kennedy and the lyrics are included so that will be one of the upcoming posts. I understand why he doesn't do a lot of the reports anymore. Kennedy is a corpsicle. AIDS..not touted as much anymore in the media, a few others like that. I think he should run the Kennedy Update themesong on the anniversary of Teds death every year...but that's just me.

*****edit by da curly wolf. Rush goes on to describe a few more gags he pulled to demonstrate absurdity by being absurd. He goes on to finish the chapter with the following final paragraph*****

First you should not believe what you hear or read simply because it confirms your preconceived notions. A lot of people believe whatever bad news about the environment they hear, simply because they’ve been taught that the planet is in imminent danger. There was a serious message intended with both of my stories. Both involved absurd suggestion which were believed by a surprising number of people, because much of the content of both messages, particularly the Tax the Poor routine, made total sense and were in fact good ideas. My hope is that people will be discerning and attentive. If, however, they choose to believe totally in me, don’t worry. They’ll be okay because I am, after all, almost always right 97.9 percent of the time. I do it for our future. Thank you. It’s a beautiful thing.

You know..contrary to popular liberal belief..Rush and others don't want to do our thinking for us..that's the left/liberal/ progressives try to do That's their belief system. We're children..too stupid and inept to think for our selves. Incapable of deciding how, who, where, when we want our healthcare. What we want to eat, what we put on or in our food..banning transfat and an attempt to ban salt, just to name 2...

This kind of thinking doesn't sit well with me..or most Americans I believe. We're not children. We're free thinking, living adults. Quite able to make our own choices and live our own lives without the goddamn government sticking it's nose in to try and tell us how to do it, every time we blink.
Rush understands this. He also understands, I believe, that while most of his listeners are free thinking, and researching..his call to think for them will spur those that are feeling just a tad lazy to do exactly the opposite and do the research themselves as opposed to just taking his word for it. He also understands it will make liberal heads explode, because it makes it seem as if Rush[and others like Hannity, Beck, Barry, Doyle] are taking a page from the progressive playbook. Which they're not. Just the opposite. I've been listening to and enjoying Rush's radio program since I was 18 or so. He hasn't changed much. I really do miss those updates though.

Well...I'll see you with another 'Way things Ought To Be' chapter next week.

So until then....

Stimulus Money for the Dead

I am printing this article in it's entirety because I wouldn't be suprised if some of the links for this story start disappearing eventually.
72,000 stimulus payments went to dead people

WASHINGTON — More than 89,000 stimulus payments of $250 each went to people who were either dead or in prison, a government investigator says in a new report.

The payments, which were part of last year's massive economic recovery package, were meant to increase consumer spending to help stimulate the economy.

But about $18 million went to nearly 72,000 people who were dead, according to the report by the Social Security Administration's inspector general. The report estimates that a little more than half of those payments were returned.

An additional $4.3 million went to more than 17,000 prison inmates, the report said. Most of the inmates, it turns out, were eligible to get the payments because they were newly incarcerated and had been receiving Social Security before they were locked up.

In all, the $250 payments were sent to about 52 million people who receive either Social Security or Supplemental Security Income, at a cost of about $13 billion. Other federal retirees also received the payments, but they were not part of the inspector general's review.

Social Security spokesman Mark Lassiter said, "Inaccurate payments are unacceptable. Social Security's Recovery Act payments were 99.8 percent accurate and we quickly collected the majority of the inaccurate payments. Each year we make payments to a small number of deceased recipients usually because we have not yet received reports of their deaths."

The inspector general for the Social Security Administration has been performing an audit to make sure no checks went to ineligible recipients. The latest report was dated Sept. 24 but was just recently posted to the agency's website.

People were eligible for payments if they were getting benefits during any one of the three months before the law was passed in February 2009.

Dead people were ineligible to get the payments. But, the report said, there is no provision in the law to recover payments incorrectly sent to dead people.

"Based on the failure of the SSA to properly check its records, and Congress' failure to fully think through the provisions needed to govern these payments, SSA lost $22.3 million in American tax dollars," said Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla. "These findings are yet another example of congressional stupidity and a lack of accountability."

The Social Security Administration said that despite tight deadlines, workers accurately processed more than 99.8 percent of the 52 million stimulus payments.

"We worked with Treasury, developed new processes, and began issuing (payments) about 30 days earlier than the legislatively mandated deadline," the agency said in a written response included in the inspector general's report. "This was a major accomplishment for our agency."

The inspector general's report said that if similar payments are authorized in the future, prison inmates should be ineligible and the government should be able to recover payments made to dead people.

The Social Security Administration agreed with the recommendations.

Do we need FEDERAL Antibullying laws

Look..I feel for anyone that gets bullied. Being a victim of bullying from middle school all through high school.. I feel for these people who are committing suicide. I do I feel and have felt your pain. The answer isn't suicide though. Kids if it really gets bad go to your parents, and if they're worth a damn, your school principal. Part of the problem for me wasn't being gay as I'm straight as a ruler...mine was being fat and geeky. Fat, wore glasses, painfully I was bullied to hell and gone. How did I deal with it? Well aside from getting my bullies asses nailed to the wall, I also had a temper so....I had a list. oh yes I had a little list. The bullying and the resentment of it made for an very angry young man in me. I never thought of suicide though..I like living too much..I plotted all sorts of revenge in my head but never acted on it.

So seriously..the answer to the bullying problem lies in the home. In the home of the bully and the bullied. If neither the parents of the bully or the school district will do anything about it, it lies on the parents of the bullied to get him/her training that will not only allow them to defend themselves but also build some self esteem and discipline. Anyone who engages in that kind of crap is in dire need of an asswhipping. Bullies by and large tend to be all tough and what not in a group but if you start kicking ass and not even bothering to take names, (or clean up the blood) they'll eventually get the hint. I always wished that I'd learned that as young child what I know now. would have saved me a some grief and aggravation.

Teaching kids discipline, self reliance, personal responibility etc are the keys. Not yet more useless goddamn laws that will only be sparsley enforced. All these calls for more laws are about power and control, not because the Politicians calling for it actually give a shit.

Parents..if your lad or lass is getting bullied get him some training..god knows there's enough fighting disciplines out there that you could find one that fits your child. Boxing, Krav Maga, Karate, Aikido, Hapkido, Fencing..I could go on but you get the idea.

SC to hear case of Marine father against Westboro

Personally I find the Westboro Baptist Church on..I've cut and pasted the entire article. Why? because I felt like it. Come on people those of you that know me, bloody well know how contrary and pugnacious I can be. :)

October 06, 2010 10:04 AM EDT
WASHINGTON (AP) — The father of a Marine killed in Iraq is asking the Supreme Court to reinstate a $5 million verdict against members of a fundamentalist church who picketed his son's funeral with signs like "Thank God for Dead Soldiers" and "God Hates the USA."

The court is hearing arguments Wednesday in the dispute between Albert Snyder of York, Pa., and members of the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan. The case pits Snyder's right to grieve privately against the church members' right to say what they want, no matter how offensive.

Westboro members, led by the Rev. Fred Phelps, have picketed many military funerals to make their point that U.S. deaths in Afghanistan and Iraq are punishment for Americans' immorality, including tolerance of homosexuality and abortion.

They welcome the attention the protests have brought, mocking their critics and vowing not to change their ways whatever the outcome at the Supreme Court.

"No American should ever be required to apologize for following his or her conscience," said Margie Phelps, a daughter of Fred Phelps and the lawyer who is arguing the case for the church.

Fundamentalist church members turned out in advance of the argument Wednesday morning, to march in front of the court with placards of the type they've been carrying to military funerals. One young boy held up a sign that reads, "God Hates You."

A line of people who trying to get into the argument stretched around the corner of the high court atop Capitol Hill.

Snyder undertook the lawsuit after the Phelpses picketed the funeral of his son, Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, in March 2006. The Marine was killed in a Humvee accident.

Snyder won an $11 million verdict against the church for intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other claims. A judge reduced the award to $5 million before the federal appeals court in Richmond, Va., threw out the verdict altogether, citing the church's First Amendment rights.

For Snyder, the case is not about free speech but harassment. "I had one chance to bury my son and it was taken from me," Snyder said.

Forty-eight states, 42 U.S. senators and veterans groups have sided with Snyder, asking the court to shield funerals from the Phelpses' "psychological terrorism."

While distancing themselves from the church's message, media organizations, including The Associated Press, have called on the court to side with the Phelpses because of concerns that a victory for Snyder could erode speech rights.

Do I think anyone should have their right to free speech abrogated? Obviously not. Be that as it may..I may be wrong for saying this, but I equate what Foul Phelps do at soldiers funerals to yelling "FIRE!" in a crowded theatre. Not in that it causes a panic mind you, but because the psychological and emotional distress it causes to those trying to bury their sons and daughters.
Those families and loved ones are already in emotional distress so WHY pray tell me, are these neolithic nitwits adding to it? So yes.. I'm sorta hoping that the Supremes find it in them to re-instate the $5 million judgement against the Phelpses and their ponzi scheme.
Oh and as to why I call it a ponzi scheme...
There was a story recently, or maybe it was a commentary [I'll go do some google fu and see if I can find it] that stated that one of the reasons Phelps does what he does is to get money. See he and his family protest somewhere, get told to F.O., get assaulted as it were, be it physically or verbally and then have the absolute gall to sue the person they've been harrassing. They also get a lot of free media coverage out of all this, which allows like minded cromagnon maggot infested retards who think as they do, to find Phelps and his "church"

Here's just one example of that from April, still involving Mr. Snyder

They sent a bill to a man who they harrassed and terrorized emotionally and mentally. What The Hell?!

Here's a blogpost I found from a journalist

And here's one that blows my mind..they protested at Ronnie Dio's funeral? Seriously?

Another thing they protested at recently was at Comic Con in San Diego a few short months ago.
Here's just a few links that describe what a fiasco THAT was for Westboro.

Honestly. Phelps and his family have no couth, no class, no social graces. Then again neither do I. Because my own proposed solution to people like Phelps is akin to a fathers solution to boys in the 8 Rules to Dating My Daughter...."I have a shotgun, a shovel and several acres out back." That one is Rule..6 IIRC.
Hmmm..I may have to post the 8 rules sometime in the near future for the sake of some amusement. If I ever get married and have kids and those kids are daughters...I almost feel sorry for anyone who dates my girls but I digress.......

I'd suggest that solution for his entire family/church but I'd be called a homicidal barbarian. The very youngest of the children involved might be able to be deprogrammed, but for those in their teens it's probably too late. Sigh...even with years in a psychologists care and treatment.

Sad, maddening and infuriating isn't it?

The Way It Ought To Be

I am contemplating what for me will be a huge undertaking since I'm gonna have to type ALL of it. What is this project? Well....I'm thinkin on posting paragraph by paragraph, and chapter by chapter...Rush Limbaugh's The Way It Ought To Be. I'd scan it but the scanner software has not way to convert to RTF and well this computer is such a POS....
IF I go through with it it'll probably be a once a week thing instead of an every other day or so piece. If I don't end up with frackin carpal the time I'm finished......I'll be grateful. There are some chapters I'll skip. ATM that would be the first 2 autobiographical chapters and 2 other issue related chapters..though I may do them after all..just don't know. I'm contemplating this becasue Rush's analysis and commentary on many issues..even now, 18yrs and change since the book was right on the money. We're basically in the same spot we were back when he wrote it in the first place. Only NOW it's worse. Much worse in my own not so humble opinion.

Yet everything he said lo those many years ago is still relevant and accurate. History is repeating itself people because for some reason we REFUSE to learn from it..despite our protestations to the contrary.

Update:120am 10/6/10:
Okay I've made my decision. I AM going to do this. I've just spent the last couple hours typing up the 1st 2 chapters I intend to post. I will be doing this on a weekly basis, one chapter a week.
I'm going to jump around the book some. I'm not going to necessarily post consecutive chapters, one after the other. I'm going to post which ever chapter I'm feeling. If I think of it I will post links to whatever, or whoever Rush is talking about in that chapter...when he names specific people, things, and places. I am planning on posting the chapters and my commentary on a specific day every week. right this second I'm leaning towards Friday every week, but..we'll see how I feel later today. They'll be titled "The Way Things Ought To Be" followed by the chapter number. for those of you still up...aren't you like.....supposed to be in bed? I'm heading there myself in a few minutes.

Think on it. You want someone like HER in charge?

Now I'll grant you this is over in England and she's not a member of the government..just a pundit and advice columnist. However..go read the article and watch the attached video...

We have our own version of people that think like her. Margaret Sanger. Ring a Bell? Nancy Pelosi and others who pushed through that abortion of a health care bill we're getting shafted with.
You really want some that thinks like this in charge of your government? Giving you advice? Think about this for a minute. No strike that. I want you to think long and hard about someone like this in power and in charge of your government. You want an example? Go look up Pol Pot. Mao, Hitler, Stalin, Idi Amin, Papa Doc.
The current crop of democrats actually subscribe to this kind of philosophy..or at least a variation of it that goes something like "we know better than you, whats good for you. Now be good children, stop arguing and do what you're told." *facepalm*

Now think about if you want someone like that in charge before you hit the polls next month. Look at the way they ACTUALLY voted instead of the smoke and lies they're trying to blow up your ass.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled inanity and insanity.

Obama's New Chief of Staff

Ladies and Gents for those that haven't's this guy.

Now everyone keeps saying Interim which to me means temporary. So does this mean that Obama will choose another permanent CoS after the elections are over? Who the hell knows. Personally I suspect Rouse may be the permanent replacement. We'll know for sure sometime after the midterms I expect. He's a political 'fixer', an 'insider'..I ask you do we really want another insider? I think not. OTOH it's endemic of Obama's way of thinking and doing things. Now Rouse once worked for Tom Daschle, pundits are pondering between this and the likely results of the upcoming election if this means that Obama will govern from center for the rest of his term instead of from far left. My own thought on this is "Obama govern from center? not frackin likely". I don't think he has it in him. If anything..I suspect he'll become even more strident and vocal after the mid terms. He may surpise me and go relatively quiet but I doubt it.

Back to Rahm 'the Ramrod' Emanuel for a minute. He's leaving to run for Mayor of Chicago? If he succeeds god help the people of Chicago. At least those with more than 4 brain cells to rub together. OTOH....the people of Chitown have done this to themselves for decades. So if he succeeds it'll be because of the chicago machine. I wonder how they'll get around the requirement/law that states anyone who runs for mayor has to have 'lived' in the city for at least a year prior to running for the office. Yes he's from Chicago but....

I "hope" Rahm is gonna have a major problem floating this one past the courts..which he'll probably have to do. He has lived in DC since the Election of The One. He vacated then rented out the house he lived in. We have a similar problem in my neighborhood trying to get some of the by laws of the community changed. Requires a vote from at least 75% of the homeowners. Only one problem..something like 55% of the people who OWN the homes don't even live in the goddamn state. The community board doesn't know where or how to find them.

Only time shall tell in both cases.

Even after just shy of 20yrs what Rush wrote in his book is still relevant, current and spot on the money. I haven't picked it up since I first read it. It just sat in the closet on a shelf. a lot of cases what he says is just plain common sense. Alas as I believe it was Voltaire said "Common sense is not that common"
True...if the left had any, they wouldn't believe as they do. I'm debating whether to do a series of posts on certain and several chapters in the book. Or just occasionally throw in some of the relevant quotes in my own posts. stay tuned...after I figure it out I'll let you know.

Okay..lets see what you make of this one.

A post on taxes by a friend of mine. Here it is..faithfully retransmitted here..word for word.

Tea HAG Article #2-Tax Problem and Solution

by Annemarie Romig Ashcraft on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 9:51pm

Well folks I have a bee that has been in my bonnet for quite awhile and have pondered it, worried it, and struggled with it and I believe I have found a solution. You see dear reader I'm not a person who likes to bitch moan and complain without giving some sort of solution, plan, or at lest break down my reasons for such worries. I suppose it is the teacher in my blood screaming to get out.

Today's topic is taxes, yes taxes. Every Government and Society has taxation in one form or another in order to run itself and pay for keeping the peace at home, applying Federal Law, waste disposal and removal, waging war on the borders and abroad. Over the years we have expanded Government in ways I highly doubt our Founding Fathers dreamed, some necessary like keeping an eye on Sex Offenders and people out of Jail on Parole, our massive Public School system, and maintaining the Foster Care system for children on a much bigger scale than they could have ever dreamed of. Others which I personally don't understand or have not researched as there are quite alot I will refrain from mentioning in this piece.

So, my solution? Stop taking taxes out of our pay checks, institute a 10-20% fair tax on all taxable items (using 20% as a base in examples). This forces persons such as Illegal Aliens to pay in the system without having to steal someone's identity. Meanwhile for people who's income has already been taxed like the retired using savings from their Pension, IRA or 401k Savings, or SS income will have that info on their Driver's Liscence or State ID Card strip and just have the cashier swipe it like a credit card and they will only be charged state sales tax. The same can apply for disabled persons and Foster Parents. Persons purchasing items for their businesses provide their Business Liscence and are not charged taxes on it or if they are a minimal amount. We have the technology we did not in 1912 when the IRS was implimented why not use it to our advantage as the old arguments are no longer valid to keep the IRS as the huge institution it is today I'm not saying do without it entirely but there is no reason for it to be as big as it is. For Families who currently recieve Income Tax Credit it will/could be something like 8% credit the info will be on your Liscence like the retired persons or Foster Parents. If you run a house for the disabled or elderly there would be applicable discounted rates like the Income Tax Credit people.

Well folks, that is my basic plan. I'm sure there are situations and exceptions to every rule. Feel free to ask questions, if I have an answer or solution I'll post it with @ and your name below.

Wolfie edit:

obviously this isn't her page so asking her questions unless she comes over here to play, which I hope she will, is probably futile.

Well lads and lasses...pontificate away

Edit2 8pm 10/4/10. Apparently Annemarie discovered there was someone else who calls themself "The Bleeding Heart Conservative" and someone asked her to cease and desist using that so..when she's got a new header..I'll put it up at the top of the page where 'TBHC' used to be.

Sad when my favorite forum has to close a conference

The Forum is The Bar. For those that know it, that name is enough. For those that don't..*shrug* well if any uber left trolling twits happen to find my happy home here..the bar doesn't need any more trolls..the newest Zampolit that pushed buttons left and right, made posts that made no sense and pissed everyone off, troll enough thanks. The conference was politics. For my barfly family that might come over here to play and comment on anything I might happen to post...Well you guys know me so the fact I'm more likely to use a 2x4 metaphorically speaking and prone to the occasionally uberly bad tempered rant won't come as a shock. Oh, this place is simple..just a few chairs for me and a cooler of brew I keep for myself by the fireplace. I can spare a few bottles for sure..however.. You want something to drink you'd al probably best bring your own coolers. Since I'm not too sure you guys and gals will like what I'm drinkin. OTOH if you're feeling industrious feel free to build a bar along the south wall over there *gestures at the south wall with his thumb* If you do..keep it simple. A fantasy novel style taproom if you catch my drift?

Anyway..since there's no telling how long Politics will be closed...could be just a few days..could be til after the midterm barfly family, along with most anyone who happens across the joint, as always is always welcome around here. OTOH if too many of you show up I may need to get industrious myself, knock down a wall and expand the place.
Feel free to talk amongst yourselves whilst I sit here by my fire and sip on a bottle.

Edit 956pm or 2156 for those of you on military time. Which oddly enough I actually prefer. many of my clocks are set to it. :)
I was looking at my blog log/archive. I made 15 posts in the month of september. half as many posts as there are days. which is probably a record for this year. I've also noticed that in 09 I made 67 posts all year. so far this year I've made 70. The computer has decided to go off line or freeze 2x while trying to write this addendum. I'm occupying myself by pulling out and starting to reread Rush Limbaugh's "the way things ought to be" circa 1992. almost 20years ago now. I expect what he wrote and opined in the book twenty years ago will still hold up. I'll let you know. Hell I may even post snippets. Which will get the tranzi's knickers in a twist. Works for me *evil grin*
