Remember, Remember the 11th of September

I remember. all I've got to do for a reminder is look at the top of my bookcase. 20 tapes or thereabouts filled with 4days or so of nonstop 24 coverage of the event from right after the 2nd plane hitting the towers. THAT is my daily reminder.
Alas I think for all the talk a lot of people have forgotten. Lots more just don't give a shit. for all the rhetoric I think a lot of people didn't care in the first place. Was just a number, some statistics and another day to them. Kinda like my birthday is to me..just a number and another day.

Perfect example..we were filled with resolve afterwards of how we were going to rebuild the towers, even taller and stronger than the originals. then it was just ONE tower. the freedom tower. Oooops apparently someone was offended by the name FREEDOM tower. Like *I* give a shit? Now...we're gong to get a goddamn memorial. 8 years....8 MOTHERFUCKING YEARS! What have we got? A goddamn fountain/reflecting pool and a hole in the ground. THAT is a disgrace my friends, A DIShonor, to our honored dead.

We haven't been NASTY and PUGNACIOUS enough in persecuting the terrorists. No Pity, No Mercy and No Prisoners..except for intelligence gathering purposes then kill em. They are cockroaches. They're a disease, a blight, a boil on the ass of humanity. Now depending on which one of the metaphors I just mentioned, you favor...
They need to be stepped on, poisoned, cured, or lanced..with extreme prejudice. Its the only way this crap with the terrorists is going to end, so our dead can rest. And so we can live with complete peace of mind.

A thought.

What the hell is the point of having laws if your not willing to ENFORCE them? Seriously. I want you to think about what I'm going to say next. I think the rise in crime, has a lot to do with the decline and destruction of traditional, common CORE values, or morals if you prefer that word. Respect is earned, not freely given..yet in today's world, I'm supposed to RESPECT someone I despise just because someone tells me so?
Chivalry-I was/am involved in a conversation regarding this one, on another board. Chivalry [or what I call common courtesy] got put on death row by feminists, the rise in the crime rate and technology. Feminists are all 'I am woman here me roar!' and 'I don't need a man to do anything for me because anything a man can do *I* can do better' Try and be polite and you basically get told you're an a*****e. I was raised right so I'll still open doors, pull out seats, even offer my seat up to little old ladies and pregnant women on occasion. However if you're going to cop an attitude because I'm being polite then Kiss my fat hairy butt.
Technology- people don't want help...they've got cell phones..they don't NEED help from you when they can call the authorities. The fact that those authorities have better things to do like nailing drunk drivers, robbery suspects, homicide suspects, gangbangers, clearing accidents off the road; and finding lost and kidnapped children; never crosses their tiny little minds..
Crime- its flat out dangerous to offer help sometimes. There's a little thing called a honey trap. Pretty ladies on the roadside supposedly having trouble. You stop and then have a gun pulled on you and are robbed, and or murdered.

Half the young people coming up think they're OWED a payday whether they've earned it or not. God forbid they should give a good days work for a good days pay. Self reliance, honesty, personal responsibility, integrity, hard work..all these are concepts to ridicule according to the liberal philosophy. I think they're words and concepts to live by, to have a fruitful and meaningful life.

Sigh, I suspect that spiritually I'm what the young people and liberal morons would refer to as a dinosaur. Sadly most of our problems can be traced to the rise of liberalism in America.

We need to bring words like duty honor, integrity, self reliance etc back to the forefront of society, in order to save it To bring our old greatness back...which will as a direct effect lower the crime rates. . Without those concepts...we're just machines going through the motions.

[Edit10am 9/10/02...sorry it took so long. got sidetracked]
Now onto the punishment portion of our thoughtfulness.
The punishments must be embarrasing or painful enough that the lessons stick. When I say stick , I mean it's got to radiate through the criminal underworld and cause abject fear. For executions lets bring back Ol Sparky...that's the Electric Chair. Lets also bring back PUBLIC Hangings. I figure the latter especially will focus criminal minds quite wonderfully AWAY from crime. Might even scare some of the useless dipsticks onto the straight and narrow. "But, but...Curly that's inhumane!"
So! Like the crimes and atrocities that were committed by our death row reprobates, were humane? Why the hell should their deaths be any different in that regard than their victims? That is one thing I admire about the middle east cultures...the punishments while somewhat barbaric, are PUBLIC, messy, and immediately carried out; and an object lesson to the rest of the criminal class. We need to speed up the execution process. No sitting on Death Row for 10 or 20yrs getting all those appeals at the general expense of the public. Meanwhile we're also paying to clothe, feed, and house these useless bags of excrement. New law should be proposed. you get 3 appeal attempts, after that, you're immediately executed. Now that I've made my views known on the death penalty, lets move on.

Theft, robbery, assault and burglary, etc. These should all be punishable by hard labor. Road Gangs, picking up trash, doing charity work repairing exteriors of homes, fences, replacing mailboxes, etc. I'd also like to bring back Prison Farms in a big way. Let the bastards grow their own foodstuffs. Any excess gets sold at the local markets and the profits go to defray the costs of the care and housing of the reprobates. Or it can be canned for leaner times..either way..win win.

Rape..Rapists..like child molesters hold a special bit of contempt from me. In both cases its about power and the application of, not the sex. For the most part. for some it is about the sex because they don't want to pay for it, can't charm it out of women, and decide to take it. Either way...I'm still trying to decide on a fitting punishment in my eyes for that one.

Child Molesters. Easy enough..put them in the general prison populations. Their life expectancy is so low as to be non exsistant. For some reason hardened criminals seem to hold Molesters with a special kind of contempt and hatred. Don't know why that's so...just is.

Prostitution- Legalize it. Tax it. I've always thought criminalizing sex was stupid.

Well..that pretty much completes this entry. Until the next one.....

Constitutional Amendment proposals..

I HAD 4 amendments in mind. I forgot one of them. Why? Because I couldn't get to my damn computer fast enough to put them in a word file. Note to self: next time use the legal pads you've got pinhead. anyway, here's 2 of them:

Amendment 29. forever hereafter No one will be allowed to hold a political office for more than 8yrs. As states right do apply per the constitution this amendment only affects the FEDERAL level of government.

  1. Therefore No President shall sit more than 2 consecutive terms in office. If a President is voted out after their first term of office they shall be barred from serving again for their lifetime at the federal level.
  2. Therefore No Senator shall serve more than one 6yr term. At the end of the 6yr term said senator shall be barred from running for or holding any political office at the federal level. With the exception of running for the office of president, if he wins see section A.
  3. Therefore No Representative shall serve more than 4 consecutive 2yr terms. After those 4 terms are up or if they are voted out before those 4 consecutive terms are run, they shall no longer be able to run for or hold any office at the federal level. Unless they run for Presidential office in which case see section A if they succeed in winning the election.
  4. Therefore after having served their terms, no President, Senator, or Representative shall have ANY position in the government such as appointees, Secretaries and Cabinet posts.

Amendment 30:

No politically appointed judge, be they appellate court, or Supreme court shall sit their seat for a term of more than 10yrs. After those 10yrs have passed they shall return to private life and practice. They shall also be barred from running for office at the federal level for a time of not less than 10yrs.

[note: I'm thinking I may have to reword this one a wee bit..but we'll see]

Our ancestors went through the trials and tribulations of bloodshed to throw off the shackles of slavery; economic and otherwise, of a petty cruel tyrant from across the seas. We have no wish to have the shackles from the past be replaced on us by homegrown petty kinglets who have no interest in the welfare of the people. Petty kinglets whose only interest is in their own power, aggrandizement and enrichment. Petty kinglets who only notice the people when they look down to see what they're stepping on.

God, christians and..stupitidy

Had really enlightening conversation with a girl on pokerstars today that says she's a christian.
Now, I can remember the jist of of it but all the exact words are kind of blurry, 12+hrs and a 6pack of beer later.

Now this lass was being highly insulting telling some of the other players that they were going to go to hell. Not being able to stay out of a good verbal fight and being in a really wicked mood I decided to butt in.

I said something, don't remember exactly what and she responded with "oh dear god. a jim baker follower. you're doomed" Now don't ask me why she assumed this but she was about to discover the hard way, one of my favorite axioms. [Don't Assume..EVER. Its the mother of all fuck ups]
Me:"Jim Baker? The hypocrite? The man who couldn't keep his pants zipped and never met skirt he didn't want to lift? Riiiiigght. Guess again sweetpea."
Her: something along the lines of you're going to hell, blah blah blah, I hope you enjoy being gangraped in the after life. Blah blah blah. Pray you die before Charles Manson, blah blah blah.
ME: "ROFLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Ahhhh, virii and germs I give you man, the stupidest creature on the planet" I then said some other things I don't remember right now.
Her "God created man in HIS image. Are you saying god is stupid?"
Me "Yes, he IS."

She shut up at that point, sat herself out and until I left never heard from her again. Pity..I was looking forward to making her twist her panties in knots some more, in sheer impotent fury.
Now why on earth did I do this? Simple. I don't like self righteous hypocrites who go around telling everyone that they're going to hell when they die. That kind of 'I'm better than you because I'm a true believer or a born again' crap sets my teeth to grinding. Now if you believe in the bible you believe that God gave us a greater gift than he ever gave to any other creature. Freewill....okay and higher brain functions than any other animal on the planet. That alone convinces me he's not only capable of being; but has been more than once, at least as big a moron as any man, woman or child on the planet. Just for an example..No other creature on the planet besides man, [that we know of at the moment] feels GUILTY about doing whats necessary to survive and thrive. It just blows my mind some days.

Mom's poker addiction

My cousin introduced me to the wonderful world of online poker ohhhh,,a year and half, 2yrs ago? I didn't play much for a while but I've started up playing again. Now the kicker to this is I'm hooked up to the big screen in the living room. Why is this the kicker? I'll tell you. My mother started watching me play and having me explain things to her. [I play pokerstars online..Texas Hold Em] Now she comes home and if my father isn't home and I'm on the puter she says "Oh good we're going to play poker!" *facepalm* Even if I'm not online if I get control of the tv she says "Lets play poker!" Its reached epidemic proportions. She says she just loves to watch me lose money. *facepalm* Needless to say where poker is concerned she's my bad luck charm. She's my albatross. Inspite of this she's my mother and I do love her. She's just making me more nuts than usual right now. I'm now off to send and email and then go to pokerstars to play..at moms nagging of course.

Cui Bono? [Who Benefits?]

I ganked this from a buddy of mine from Canada. He's on the outside looking in, so it is to me a very valid perspective, and questions:

In all the blogs, news reports and discussions, there's been one question that hasn't been asked, nor answered about the very ambitious slate of legislation that the current administration is looking to pass - who's going to benefit from it all? The Cap and Trade bill, as it stands at 1300+ pages and counting is filled with extraneous additions - not just what the cap and trade is going to be, not just who has to participate, but it also includes provisions on how you must deal with your own home, how you may or may not sell your home, what you must do under this bill to reduce the carbon footprint...and every single item has a detrimental effect on the economy and therefore on everyone's life. Too many articles abound about the negative economic effect - hell, even the administration admits to a negative effect initially - and that, during the worst economic downturn since 1929. So - who benefits from this? Not our children, nor our grandchildren, nor their children - as they will be labouring to pay for this legislation. What about the Healthcare bill that the administration wants to pass? Who's going to benefit? The people who still can't afford the government plan because they earn too much for a subsidy but not enough to pay the government premium? Yet - the penalty built in will be equally as bad to that same family. Who, other than people who already qualify for Medicare/Medicaid will benefit from such a bill - one that will cost 3 years worth of GDP? Added to the Cap and Trade bill - that just puts another generation into debt? Where's the general benefit?

To say that none of this seems to be thought out is pointless. This has been thought out by the architects. The question is - what aren't they saying and who are the ultimate beneficiaries of these pieces of legislation? Anyone? Bueller?

Cheers!

Who Paid?

I ganked this from a friend of mine on another site/forum,. I think its valid thinking myself. Enjoy. He's from Canada so he's looking at this from the outside in. Instead of the reverse like me:

Something that caught my eye as I was looking into the educational background of the President....who paid the bills for his education? It wasn't him all by himself - the numbers say it was flatly impossible...I know - I'm the same age and I attended university at the same time he did. So - the Occidental College in California...where he went after graduation from high school. That's plausible enough - combination of scholarship and student aid - although his living expenses in CA compared to being at home in Hawaii would be something else. But...after two years, to transfer to Columbia in NYC? Where the hell did the money for that come from? Wasn't from student aid...that wouldn't have even begin to cover tuition. Scholarship? Possibly...but there's never been any mention of that one. Living expenses? We're talking NYC for goodness sake. Quite honestly - there's something that's not being said and that is...who does President Obama owe? Then, after graduation from Columbia...with a poli-sci degree....in an economic slump - he gets a job with a Think Tank? That, friends and neighbours, requires some pull. How does the kid of a single mom in Hawaii have the kind of muscle to get a position like that? Same holds true four years later when he goes off to Harvard Law - tutition alone would have been a years salary - where in the hell did all the money come from and who was the provider? I've yet to see that question answered...and only a few people have ever asked it that I'm aware of. So, what do you all think? Was it simple up by the bootstraps on the President's part or is there an unknown, unnamed benefactor(s) in the background that perhaps people need to be aware of? After all, knowing who the President is beholden to can make a difference in what decisions he makes.

Cheers!

interesting lyric

A band I'm moderately fond of 'Disturbed' came out with a new album a short while back. One of the 3 singles they released off that album [which I frackin love btw] is a song simply called 'The Night'. there is a lyric in the chorus which goes "Power beyond containing, Are you gonna remain a slave for the rest of your life?"
Power beyond containing.....yep that is what WE as a free people have and quite frankly need to exercise. The government [as I've stated repeatedly] has gotten waaaay to big for its britches. It needs to be pared down.

Are you gonna remain a slave for the rest of your life?
Well...are we?

Race and Crime in America

okay lads and lasses we're in whats called delicate territory. But those who've followed me elsewher know that the word 'subtle' is NOT in my dictionary. In his recent arrest a professor told a cambridge police officer "This is because I'm a black man in America isn't it?"
Not to put too fine a a point on it..YES YOU ASSSHOLE!
He should be grateful one of his neighbors gave enough of a damn to call the cops because he was breaking into his own house. Though the neighbors didn't see who he was at the time. WTF were the neighbors SUPPOSED to think? *facepalm*

Look at these stats from the DOJ from 76-05 anyone notice the trend?
So YES if a diproportionate amount of the crime being committed by a significantly minority portion of the population..guess what? Its NOT profiling ASSHATS...its just noticing the obvious and THAT is how the cat ate the canary! By the same token calling racial profiling, religious bigotry for arabs and muslims is a bunch of bullshit as well.

Now I haven't searched the DOJ site to see how much the stats have changed lately. I suspect they've changed somewhat with the HUGE influx of illegal aliens and the criminal elements there in.

Something to think about before you call racial profiling, ain't it?

Newsflash

for those who don't understand what are congresscretins are doing to the constitution of this great nation and therefore to us the citizens. Let me put it in simple words even a 5yr old can understand
"bend over we're about to take it up the ass"
