Gonna blame video games...AGAIN?

Oh this ought to be good. A 15yr old kills his adoptive parents. His uncle automatically suspects that Video Games are the culprit?

"But the boy's infatuation with violent video games was starting to give his uncle pause."

Give that broken record a rest. I've been playing video games and some very violent ones for most of my life. Been watching violent movies for ALL my life. I haven't gone out and killed anyone? Neither do 99.9% of people who play games..be they violent or other wise. So please..roll that putrid pile of camel shit by someone else please.

Of course this had nothing at ALL to do with the Violent crowd he was hanging out with..
"Co-workers said Poff and Kamin were having some arguments with their son, some of it having to do with him spending too much time in the Occupy Oakland encampment, but nothing that sounded beyond the scope of typical teenage rebelliousness."

Not at alllll. Again..roll that pile of shit by someone who will buy it.

The State of DISUnion 2012 (Part 2)

And awaaayyyy we go again my friends.

Jackie Bray is a single mom from North Carolina who was laid off from her job as a mechanic. Then Siemens opened a gas turbine factory in Charlotte, and formed a partnership with Central Piedmont Community College. The company helped the college design courses in laser and robotics training. It paid Jackie’s tuition, then hired her to help operate their plant.

I want every American looking for work to have the same opportunity as Jackie did. Join me in a national commitment to train 2 million Americans with skills that will lead directly to a job. (Applause.) My administration has already lined up more companies that want to help. Model partnerships between businesses like Siemens and community colleges in places like Charlotte, and Orlando, and Louisville are up and running. Now you need to give more community colleges the resources they need to become community career centers -– places that teach people skills that businesses are looking for right now, from data management to high-tech manufacturing.

Such a thing already exists bucko. They're called VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS!

And I want to cut through the maze of confusing training programs, so that from now on, people like Jackie have one program, one website, and one place to go for all the information and help that they need. It is time to turn our unemployment system into a reemployment system that puts people to work. (Applause.)

It's called learn to use a computer and browse the web...ain't that difficult. The job listings are myriad. As are the various vocational/tech schools that are out there. sorry sell the sob story to someone who's buying.

These reforms will help people get jobs that are open today. But to prepare for the jobs of tomorrow, our commitment to skills and education has to start earlier.

We don't need that kind of reform. Just the shut the hell up, sit down and stay the fuck out of our way.

For less than 1 percent of what our nation spends on education each year, we’ve convinced nearly every state in the country to raise their standards for teaching and learning -- the first time that’s happened in a generation.

really? YOU personally made the call on that? Don't think so.

But challenges remain. And we know how to solve them.

At a time when other countries are doubling down on education, tight budgets have forced states to lay off thousands of teachers. We know a good teacher can increase the lifetime income of a classroom by over $250,000. A great teacher can offer an escape from poverty to the child who dreams beyond his circumstance. Every person in this chamber can point to a teacher who changed the trajectory of their lives. Most teachers work tirelessly, with modest pay, sometimes digging into their own pocket for school supplies -- just to make a difference.

It doesn't matter how good the teacher is, if the student isn't willing to learn, and the parents don't backstop the teachers. No..wait..The first line of defense is PARENTS, if the parents aren't involved, making sure the kids do their homework, teaching them to love learning, to love to read, to acquire knowledge...then nothing those great teachers can do is going to reach the uncaring kids.

Teachers matter. So instead of bashing them, or defending the status quo, let’s offer schools a deal. Give them the resources to keep good teachers on the job, and reward the best ones. (Applause.) And in return, grant schools flexibility: to teach with creativity and passion; to stop teaching to the test; and to replace teachers who just aren’t helping kids learn. That’s a bargain worth making. (Applause.)

Oh look he's using a conservative/libertarian talking point. We've been saying that for a lonnng time. The dems because of unions, including teachers unions..turn out to vote for them, well golly gee beaver...the liberals don't want to hear it.

We also know that when students don’t walk away from their education, more of them walk the stage to get their diploma. When students are not allowed to drop out, they do better. So tonight, I am proposing that every state -- every state -- requires that all students stay in high school until they graduate or turn 18. (Applause.)

Once again...government enforcement, and mandated control by the government accomplishes nothing. That's all that Central Planning indoctrination and training Barry had growing up, talking.

When kids do graduate, the most daunting challenge can be the cost of college. At a time when Americans owe more in tuition debt than credit card debt, this Congress needs to stop the interest rates on student loans from doubling in July. (Applause.)

College is not a fucking cookie cutter, one size fits all proposition. Jeebus Jumping H Christ! I know guys that never went to college or tech school who are more knowledgable in their field than people who went to college or tech school. Know guys who went to tech/vocational schools who are better at their jobs than people with 4yr degree. The solution depends entirely on the individual.

Extend the tuition tax credit we started that saves millions of middle-class families thousands of dollars, and give more young people the chance to earn their way through college by doubling the number of work-study jobs in the next five years. (Applause.)

One of my friends is in the field of science and meds. He's got a Masters and is working on his Ph.D, all while going to school full time and holding down a full time job and without ever having taken a dime of government money. You don't need a government grant to go to school or college..just a hell of a work ethic that used to be fairly common place. Now? Not so much.

Of course, it’s not enough for us to increase student aid. We can’t just keep subsidizing skyrocketing tuition; we’ll run out of money. States also need to do their part, by making higher education a higher priority in their budgets. And colleges and universities have to do their part by working to keep costs down.

No more tenured professors would be a good place for universities to start.

Recently, I spoke with a group of college presidents who’ve done just that. Some schools redesign courses to help students finish more quickly. Some use better technology. The point is, it’s possible. So let me put colleges and universities on notice: If you can’t stop tuition from going up, the funding you get from taxpayers will go down. (Applause.) Higher education can’t be a luxury -– it is an economic imperative that every family in America should be able to afford.

The education is there and free for the taking. It's called a library and if you have computer access there are so many free college courses out there now it's ridiculous. We won't even discuss all the how to teaching videos out there for free on places like You Tube.

Let’s also remember that hundreds of thousands of talented, hardworking students in this country face another challenge: the fact that they aren’t yet American citizens. Many were brought here as small children, are American through and through, yet they live every day with the threat of deportation. Others came more recently, to study business and science and engineering, but as soon as they get their degree, we send them home to invent new products and create new jobs somewhere else.

That doesn’t make sense.

I believe as strongly as ever that we should take on illegal immigration. That’s why my administration has put more boots on the border than ever before. That’s why there are fewer illegal crossings than when I took office. The opponents of action are out of excuses. We should be working on comprehensive immigration reform right now. (Applause.)

note...he's lying through his forked tongue again.

But if election-year politics keeps Congress from acting on a comprehensive plan, let’s at least agree to stop expelling responsible young people who want to staff our labs, start new businesses, defend this country. Send me a law that gives them the chance to earn their citizenship. I will sign it right away. (Applause.)

You see, an economy built to last is one where we encourage the talent and ingenuity of every person in this country. That means women should earn equal pay for equal work. (Applause.) It means we should support everyone who’s willing to work, and every risk-taker and entrepreneur who aspires to become the next Steve Jobs.

After all, innovation is what America has always been about. Most new jobs are created in start-ups and small businesses. So let’s pass an agenda that helps them succeed. Tear down regulations that prevent aspiring entrepreneurs from getting the financing to grow. (Applause.) Expand tax relief to small businesses that are raising wages and creating good jobs. Both parties agree on these ideas. So put them in a bill, and get it on my desk this year. (Applause.)

This from an administration that has enacted more and proposed yet even more regulations than any other administration? yeah float that shit by someone else.

Innovation also demands basic research. Today, the discoveries taking place in our federally financed labs and universities could lead to new treatments that kill cancer cells but leave healthy ones untouched. New lightweight vests for cops and soldiers that can stop any bullet. Don’t gut these investments in our budget. Don’t let other countries win the race for the future. Support the same kind of research and innovation that led to the computer chip and the Internet; to new American jobs and new American industries.

yeah yeah same old shit different day, trying to act american as apple pie while trying to turn the country into a gulag.

And nowhere is the promise of innovation greater than in American-made energy. Over the last three years, we’ve opened millions of new acres for oil and gas exploration, and tonight, I’m directing my administration to open more than 75 percent of our potential offshore oil and gas resources. (Applause.) Right now -- right now -- American oil production is the highest that it’s been in eight years. That’s right -- eight years. Not only that -- last year, we relied less on foreign oil than in any of the past 16 years. (Applause.)

he's lying again...there's less oil production since he took office, not more.

But with only 2 percent of the world’s oil reserves, oil isn’t enough. This country needs an all-out, all-of-the-above strategy that develops every available source of American energy. (Applause.) A strategy that’s cleaner, cheaper, and full of new jobs.

Wrong again boyo...we've got more oil reserves than you can shake a stick at. somewhere around 300yrs worth give or take. And even more 'possible' reserves than you can shake a stick at.

We have a supply of natural gas that can last America nearly 100 years. (Applause.) And my administration will take every possible action to safely develop this energy. Experts believe this will support more than 600,000 jobs by the end of the decade. And I’m requiring all companies that drill for gas on public lands to disclose the chemicals they use. (Applause.) Because America will develop this resource without putting the health and safety of our citizens at risk.

Actually the natural gas reserves will last longer than that.

The development of natural gas will create jobs and power trucks and factories that are cleaner and cheaper, proving that we don’t have to choose between our environment and our economy. (Applause.) And by the way, it was public research dollars, over the course of 30 years, that helped develop the technologies to extract all this natural gas out of shale rock –- reminding us that government support is critical in helping businesses get new energy ideas off the ground. (Applause.)

Wrong.

Now, what’s true for natural gas is just as true for clean energy. In three years, our partnership with the private sector has already positioned America to be the world’s leading manufacturer of high-tech batteries. Because of federal investments, renewable energy use has nearly doubled, and thousands of Americans have jobs because of it.

And everyone of those partnerships has gone bankrupt...because the technologies are not economically feasible..and some like wind..just plain don't work consistently.

When Bryan Ritterby was laid off from his job making furniture, he said he worried that at 55, no one would give him a second chance. But he found work at Energetx, a wind turbine manufacturer in Michigan. Before the recession, the factory only made luxury yachts. Today, it’s hiring workers like Bryan, who said, “I’m proud to be working in the industry of the future.”

Sigh...he's lying again..trying to misdirect with a sob story. There's thousands upon thousands of wind turbines sitting idle, unmaintained and unused. I won't even bother to go into why. Do your own research.

Our experience with shale gas, our experience with natural gas, shows us that the payoffs on these public investments don’t always come right away. Some technologies don’t pan out; some companies fail. But I will not walk away from the promise of clean energy. I will not walk away from workers like Bryan. (Applause.) I will not cede the wind or solar or battery industry to China or Germany because we refuse to make the same commitment here.

Of course he won't because the government has heavily subsidized and loaned metric fuck tons of money to...these 'clean energy' companies. The left has a vested interest in them. Talk to some our friends in England and see just how well thats working for them...they'll tell you...not well at all.

We’ve subsidized oil companies for a century. That’s long enough. (Applause.) It’s time to end the taxpayer giveaways to an industry that rarely has been more profitable, and double-down on a clean energy industry that never has been more promising. Pass clean energy tax credits. Create these jobs. (Applause.)

Vested interest in clean energy, because it's good propaganda.

We can also spur energy innovation with new incentives. The differences in this chamber may be too deep right now to pass a comprehensive plan to fight climate change. But there’s no reason why Congress shouldn’t at least set a clean energy standard that creates a market for innovation. So far, you haven’t acted. Well, tonight, I will. I’m directing my administration to allow the development of clean energy on enough public land to power 3 million homes. And I’m proud to announce that the Department of Defense, working with us, the world’s largest consumer of energy, will make one of the largest commitments to clean energy in history -– with the Navy purchasing enough capacity to power a quarter of a million homes a year. (Applause.)

Human caused climate change is a myth. You do realize what the biggest SINGLE contributor to our climate is? It's that big burning ball of fire, that nuclear fusion reactor in the sky.....the single bright light of our existence....THE SUN!

Of course, the easiest way to save money is to waste less energy. So here’s a proposal: Help manufacturers eliminate energy waste in their factories and give businesses incentives to upgrade their buildings. Their energy bills will be $100 billion lower over the next decade, and America will have less pollution, more manufacturing, more jobs for construction workers who need them. Send me a bill that creates these jobs. (Applause.)

Numbers pulled out of thin air and someones ass, to sound good.

Building this new energy future should be just one part of a broader agenda to repair America’s infrastructure. So much of America needs to be rebuilt. We’ve got crumbling roads and bridges; a power grid that wastes too much energy; an incomplete high-speed broadband network that prevents a small business owner in rural America from selling her products all over the world.

Why is America's infrastructure failing? Why because money that SHOULD have been spent on infrastructure has been spent on touchy feely, feel good, "social programs". Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Welfare, Food Stamps...any of these ring a bell? There was a recent study of the numbers done. We spend 3x as much every year on these "social programs" as we do on defense and the various wars we've been fighting. Tell me again how this isn't a problem?

During the Great Depression, America built the Hoover Dam and the Golden Gate Bridge. After World War II, we connected our states with a system of highways. Democratic and Republican administrations invested in great projects that benefited everybody, from the workers who built them to the businesses that still use them today.

In the next few weeks, I will sign an executive order clearing away the red tape that slows down too many construction projects. But you need to fund these projects. Take the money we’re no longer spending at war, use half of it to pay down our debt, and use the rest to do some nation-building right here at home. (Applause.)

See my previous statement.

There’s never been a better time to build, especially since the construction industry was one of the hardest hit when the housing bubble burst. Of course, construction workers weren’t the only ones who were hurt. So were millions of innocent Americans who’ve seen their home values decline. And while government can’t fix the problem on its own, responsible homeowners shouldn’t have to sit and wait for the housing market to hit bottom to get some relief.

Again whose fault is the housing bubble burst? The United States Fucking Government.

And that’s why I’m sending this Congress a plan that gives every responsible homeowner the chance to save about $3,000 a year on their mortgage, by refinancing at historically low rates. (Applause.) No more red tape. No more runaround from the banks. A small fee on the largest financial institutions will ensure that it won’t add to the deficit and will give those banks that were rescued by taxpayers a chance to repay a deficit of trust. (Applause.)

Once again the government sticking it's nose even deeper into the housing market. Someplace it didn't belong in the first place.

Let’s never forget: Millions of Americans who work hard and play by the rules every day deserve a government and a financial system that do the same. It’s time to apply the same rules from top to bottom. No bailouts, no handouts, and no copouts. An America built to last insists on responsibility from everybody.

This from an administration who has probably had more handouts in the last 3 years than the previous 12yrs and 2 adminstrations combined? He's trying to baffle you with bullshit since he can't blind you with brilliance. Wake up and smell what the son of a bitch is shoveling.

Tomorrow..the final 3rd act in our stage play.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled inanity and insanity. TANSTAAFL

The State of DISUnion 2012 (Part 1)

Okay boys and girls...and awaaayyyy we go! I'll have my remarks interspersed in bold..like I normally try and do....oh and since my blog gets a little wonky with fonts for some reason on occasion I may take to pasting the presidents speech in Italics. Okay?

Last month, I went to Andrews Air Force Base and welcomed home some of our last troops to serve in Iraq. Together, we offered a final, proud salute to the colors under which more than a million of our fellow citizens fought -- and several thousand gave their lives.

Well lets see..considering most everything Obama has done is an INSULT to that flag and our constitution..I find it insulting that he has the gall to salute the colors he spits on.

We gather tonight knowing that this generation of heroes has made the United States safer and more respected around the world. (Applause.) For the first time in nine years, there are no Americans fighting in Iraq. (Applause.) For the first time in two decades, Osama bin Laden is not a threat to this country. (Applause.) Most of al Qaeda’s top lieutenants have been defeated. The Taliban’s momentum has been broken, and some troops in Afghanistan have begun to come home.

Respected? Really? Most of the world holds us in contempt due to Obama's "I hate my country and want to change it so leave me and the country the hell alone while I destroy it" World Apology Tour. The bulk of the inroads against Al Queda was made under Bush while after a while the same Democrats who stood hand to hand with Republicans that the threat must be defeated, turned around and said "why are we doing this? We shouldn't be doing this" within 24mos of operations being launched.

These achievements are a testament to the courage, selflessness and teamwork of America’s Armed Forces. At a time when too many of our institutions have let us down, they exceed all expectations. They’re not consumed with personal ambition. They don’t obsess over their differences. They focus on the mission at hand. They work together.

In order..Yes they are a testament to our Armed Forces, a group of selfless men and women which I have always revered and held in the highest respect. Institutions? Try the entirety of the United States Government Bureaucracy!

Imagine what we could accomplish if we followed their example. (Applause.) Think about the America within our reach: A country that leads the world in educating its people. An America that attracts a new generation of high-tech manufacturing and high-paying jobs. A future where we’re in control of our own energy, and our security and prosperity aren’t so tied to unstable parts of the world. An economy built to last, where hard work pays off, and responsibility is rewarded.

All of which happened on a regular basis and frequently til the government decided it knew best about a great many things, got greedy and power hungry and decided to get involved in things it knows fuck all about. If our government was a private business it would have gone into bankruptcy, been bought up and sold in tiny little pieces and would be no more. Why? because while I haven't tracked back past the Obama administration I can tell you this with clarity. Our government in the last 3 years has CONSISTENTLY spent well over a TRILLION dollars more than it has taken in, in taxes and what not. That means our government under Obama has BORROWED well over 3 TRILLION dollars [have to go back and look but It's closer to 4 or better I believe] from China in the last 3yrs.

We can do this. I know we can, because we’ve done it before. At the end of World War II, when another generation of heroes returned home from combat, they built the strongest economy and middle class the world has ever known. (Applause.) My grandfather, a veteran of Patton’s Army, got the chance to go to college on the GI Bill. My grandmother, who worked on a bomber assembly line, was part of a workforce that turned out the best products on Earth.

Yes we can do it..but everytime we DO our government pisses away all our gains. Through the greed of our supposed representatives. Creating more regulations to make it harder to get a business off the ground and when you DO, you're now penalized and taxed out the ass for being successful.

The two of them shared the optimism of a nation that had triumphed over a depression and fascism. They understood they were part of something larger; that they were contributing to a story of success that every American had a chance to share -- the basic American promise that if you worked hard, you could do well enough to raise a family, own a home, send your kids to college, and put a little away for retirement.

The defining issue of our time is how to keep that promise alive. No challenge is more urgent. No debate is more important. We can either settle for a country where a shrinking number of people do really well while a growing number of Americans barely get by, or we can restore an economy where everyone gets a fair shot, and everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules. (Applause.) What’s at stake aren’t Democratic values or Republican values, but American values. And we have to reclaim them.

No the defining issue of our time is the growing socializing/communizing of our country. The take over of our government by marxist principles. The Marginalizing of all the principles and concepts that have made this country great. Principles like Honor, Self Reliance, Freedom, Integrity and Respect. On and on. Notice how in this section he's talking about haves and have nots..class warefare. Blaming the wealthy for the woes of the world instead of where it squarely lies...power hungry governments and despots. Giving everyone a fair shot? Everyone paying their fare share. Most millionaires, pay more in one YEAR than any of the rest of the "working class" pay in their entire LIVES. Just forex..as much as I detest Mitt Romney's politics he's a wealthy man. He made $20 million last year..he paid $3 million in taxes on it. One of my favorite authors is self employed. He writes AND he has a day job. He had a troll come on his website and try and lay into him and spouting that tired old communist/socialist rhetoric about the "wealthy paying more" and "paying their fair share". His response to the troll? Well the gist of it was this [my words not his] 'hey asshole, I paid enough in the last QUARTER to buy a brand new Hyundai! Don't tell ME I'm not paying my "fair share"! A number of the self employed people have to file every 3 months[every financial quarter] on their earnings. Didn't know that one did ya?

Let’s remember how we got here. Long before the recession, jobs and manufacturing began leaving our shores. Technology made businesses more efficient, but also made some jobs obsolete. Folks at the top saw their incomes rise like never before, but most hardworking Americans struggled with costs that were growing, paychecks that weren’t, and personal debt that kept piling up.

Now why were companies leaving our shores and shipping jobs overseas? Regulations and UNIONS. But you won't hear those words roll off the forked tongue of our Chief Rat. He's bought and paid for by the unions..he's out of the famous..no make that INFAMOUS Chicago Machine political structure. Where greed and graft are the law. I'll get more into growing costs later..but by and large it all goes to my first sentence in this particular paragraph.

In 2008, the house of cards collapsed. We learned that mortgages had been sold to people who couldn’t afford or understand them. Banks had made huge bets and bonuses with other people’s money. Regulators had looked the other way, or didn’t have the authority to stop the bad behavior.

Why did the house of cards collapse and why had those mortgages been sold? Why by the order of the GOVERNMENT..the bankers were told to make dangerous loans to try and make money and grow the economy and therefore the government coffers. Forced to make loans to people who couldn't buy the ash droppings off a cigarette let alone a brand new car or home. I know first hand about the former. I worked car sales and you would not believe the number of people who made maybe 12-18,000/year who had ALL their credit cards in collection, and *with no money down*, who expected the banks we dealt with to grant them a loan, so they could buy a $35-40,000 car or truck. Then had the nerve to get pissed at ME when I told them. "Uhmm sorry no, can't do it. Our Financial people MIGHT be able to get the banks to swing the loan for 'this'[this usually being a small compact..like a Cavalier or the Chevy Geo...god how I hated that fucking thing] car here. I'm not being mean mr/mrs customer..just giving you the unvarnished truth because I respect you and myself to think you deserve it and I expect it of the people I deal with" Dear Lord the cussings I used to get hung on me.

It was wrong. It was irresponsible. And it plunged our economy into a crisis that put millions out of work, saddled us with more debt, and left innocent, hardworking Americans holding the bag. In the six months before I took office, we lost nearly 4 million jobs. And we lost another 4 million before our policies were in full effect.

Why yes it was wrong and irresponsible but those two concepts are words to live by for our government. By hook or by crook..they don't give a flying fuck who they have to screw to get their wealth and power. Obama is a prime example of that.

Those are the facts. But so are these: In the last 22 months, businesses have created more than 3 million jobs. (Applause.)

Last year, they created the most jobs since 2005. American manufacturers are hiring again, creating jobs for the first time since the late 1990s. Together, we’ve agreed to cut the deficit by more than $2 trillion. And we’ve put in place new rules to hold Wall Street accountable, so a crisis like this never happens again. (Applause.)

Facts laced with a lot of inuendo and bullshit about jobs being created but what do you expect from a politician like Barack? The reason the unemployment numbers have dropped is because So many people have gone of unemployment because they ran the full period your allowed to collect it, without finding a job. So they dropped off the rolls. A good many people never went on it and the first place and have just given up and dropped off the official "radar" The true unemployment numbers percentage wise is closer to somewhere between 17-20% but you won't hear that on the big three networks or any of the other Massively Stupid Media. In other words the Main Stream Media. Why won't you hear it from them? Well because they are the bought and paid for propaganda arm of Big Government in general and The Democratic Party in particular

The state of our Union is getting stronger. And we’ve come too far to turn back now. As long as I’m President, I will work with anyone in this chamber to build on this momentum. But I intend to fight obstruction with action, and I will oppose any effort to return to the very same policies that brought on this economic crisis in the first place. (Applause.)

No the state of the union is getting weaker thanks to your policies Barry you socialist fuckwad. What's growing is our ability to see through the bullshit and our growing opposition to your blatant power grabbing.

No, we will not go back to an economy weakened by outsourcing, bad debt, and phony financial profits. Tonight, I want to speak about how we move forward, and lay out a blueprint for an economy that’s built to last -– an economy built on American manufacturing, American energy, skills for American workers, and a renewal of American values.

No what he wants is total government control of every facet of your life. He's going to sugar coat it in fancy words, but that's what it actually is.

Now, this blueprint begins with American manufacturing.

On the day I took office, our auto industry was on the verge of collapse. Some even said we should let it die. With a million jobs at stake, I refused to let that happen. In exchange for help, we demanded responsibility. We got workers and automakers to settle their differences. We got the industry to retool and restructure. Today, General Motors is back on top as the world’s number-one automaker. (Applause.) Chrysler has grown faster in the U.S. than any major car company. Ford is investing billions in U.S. plants and factories. And together, the entire industry added nearly 160,000 jobs.

Yes they were on the verge of collapse because they were stupid. Then they took billions of dollars from the government, in other words We The People's money, and now the GOVERNMENT owns outright 1/3 of General Motors. Or as some have rechristened it..GOVERNMENT MOTORS. I for one will NEVER buy a brand new GM vehicle again. An old one maybe..a new one? Never. Yep FORD is investing...investing the money of it's stock holders and it's own money. NONE of which was taken from the Government. See..Ford refused to take a dime because they knew what that meant. I still don't think I'd buy a brand new Ford product because modern vehicles have too many computer controls to go wrong in them now..but if I did..it'd be a Ford.

We bet on American workers. We bet on American ingenuity. And tonight, the American auto industry is back. (Applause.)

Sigh...no Barry you were paying back the Unions who got you into office. Let's call a spade a spade shall we?

What’s happening in Detroit can happen in other industries. It can happen in Cleveland and Pittsburgh and Raleigh. We can’t bring every job back that’s left our shore. But right now, it’s getting more expensive to do business in places like China. Meanwhile, America is more productive. A few weeks ago, the CEO of Master Lock told me that it now makes business sense for him to bring jobs back home. (Applause.) Today, for the first time in 15 years, Master Lock’s unionized plant in Milwaukee is running at full capacity. (Applause.)

Master Lock..a unionized shop. I wonder how much money if any Masterlock got from government subsidies?

So we have a huge opportunity, at this moment, to bring manufacturing back. But we have to seize it. Tonight, my message to business leaders is simple: Ask yourselves what you can do to bring jobs back to your country, and your country will do everything we can to help you succeed. (Applause.)

We should start with our tax code. Right now, companies get tax breaks for moving jobs and profits overseas. Meanwhile, companies that choose to stay in America get hit with one of the highest tax rates in the world. It makes no sense, and everyone knows it. So let’s change it.

Yes because it cost them less up front, and less in employee wages and less in corporate taxes to do business over seas , than it does to operate in America. Why? Government interference. We have tons more of it now here on our own shores making it more expensive to operate. Businesses exist to make money. Money for their owners who put their own sweat blood and tears into the business. Money for the investors who gave money to the business to get going and expect a return for that investment. Oh and if a company has to pay too much in corporate taxes, has obscenely high worker wages dictated to them by Unions, and has the government watching over their shoulder every second waiting for them to trip up and fall afoul of some obscure 'regulation' the government comes up with willy nilly....then guess what? They can't afford to pay their workers. Can't afford to pay their investors. Can't afford the overhead to keep their doors open locally, soo...they go overseas where the environment is more.....hospitable. Business friendly. DUHHHHH.

First, if you’re a business that wants to outsource jobs, you shouldn’t get a tax deduction for doing it. (Applause.) That money should be used to cover moving expenses for companies like Master Lock that decide to bring jobs home. (Applause.)

This isn't an incentive it's a THREAT.

Second, no American company should be able to avoid paying its fair share of taxes by moving jobs and profits overseas. (Applause.) From now on, every multinational company should have to pay a basic minimum tax. And every penny should go towards lowering taxes for companies that choose to stay here and hire here in America. (Applause.)

See even if you don't operate, or just operate a satellite office on US soil you should be forced to pay taxes to the US government. Even if the bulk of your manufacturing and office force is overseas. This is about domination and control. Again this is a THREAT, not an incentive.

Third, if you’re an American manufacturer, you should get a bigger tax cut. If you’re a high-tech manufacturer, we should double the tax deduction you get for making your products here. And if you want to relocate in a community that was hit hard when a factory left town, you should get help financing a new plant, equipment, or training for new workers. (Applause.)

Oh wow..NOW he wants to say what Conservatives have been SCREAMING since the Democrats took control of the government in 07? Can we say Campaign Speech? Then again not surprising, the motherfucker hasn't LEFT the campaign trail since he started the campaign trail in 07.

So my message is simple. It is time to stop rewarding businesses that ship jobs overseas, and start rewarding companies that create jobs right here in America. Send me these tax reforms, and I will sign them right away. (Applause.)

My message to you is simple. It's not just to you, it's to the entire United States Government. Sit the fuck down. Shut the fuck up. STay the fuck out of our way and let us work and make a living wage without all your regulations and interference. THIS is the only way we can return to prosperity. Oh and NOW you want Tax Reforms? Not buying. *cough* campaign speech! *cough*

We’re also making it easier for American businesses to sell products all over the world. Two years ago, I set a goal of doubling U.S. exports over five years. With the bipartisan trade agreements we signed into law, we’re on track to meet that goal ahead of schedule. (Applause.) And soon, there will be millions of new customers for American goods in Panama, Colombia, and South Korea. Soon, there will be new cars on the streets of Seoul imported from Detroit, and Toledo, and Chicago. (Applause.)

Wanna make a bet?

I will go anywhere in the world to open new markets for American products. And I will not stand by when our competitors don’t play by the rules. We’ve brought trade cases against China at nearly twice the rate as the last administration –- and it’s made a difference. (Applause.) Over a thousand Americans are working today because we stopped a surge in Chinese tires. But we need to do more. It’s not right when another country lets our movies, music, and software be pirated. It’s not fair when foreign manufacturers have a leg up on ours only because they’re heavily subsidized.

You've ALREADY gone all over the world and prostrated and spread eagled this great country to be screwed by everyone else. I just loooovvved that 'apology' tour you took, after you entered your office. Subsidized? Well gee..who drove all those jobs overseas in the first place junior? 2 points if you said the United States Fucking Government.

Tonight, I’m announcing the creation of a Trade Enforcement Unit that will be charged with investigating unfair trading practices in countries like China. (Applause.) There will be more inspections to prevent counterfeit or unsafe goods from crossing our borders. And this Congress should make sure that no foreign company has an advantage over American manufacturing when it comes to accessing financing or new markets like Russia. Our workers are the most productive on Earth, and if the playing field is level, I promise you -– America will always win. (Applause.)

Oh great he's creating yet ANOTHER faceless government agency? One answerable to no one. Does anyone besides me find this unsurprising? NOTHING is ever solved by committee.

I also hear from many business leaders who want to hire in the United States but can’t find workers with the right skills. Growing industries in science and technology have twice as many openings as we have workers who can do the job. Think about that –- openings at a time when millions of Americans are looking for work. It’s inexcusable. And we know how to fix it.

Yes we can fix it..it's called vocational training and your job centers already do it. Hell there's also "vocational schools" where you can get the training you need and a lot times actually be placed with a company upon graduation. There's no guarantee of course. Nothing in this life is absolutely certain but death and taxes. Oh and government greed and stupidity.

Okay boys and girls...that's it for Part One of the state of disunion. I'll post more tomorrow. Oh just an FYI ...I found Metallica's "And Justice for All" and "Kill 'Em All" albums a highly appropriate soundtrack to do this to. I'm ending this on the song Anesthesia.

Anyway I now return you to your regularly scheduled inanity and insanity. TANSTAAFL.

European Bailouts..wow

* Note- there will be foul and offensive language in this little diatribe. IOW I aim to let the hammer down, so if you're easily offended....I'd suggest vacating the premises.........
................

..............

....................
(this one has been sitting in my drafts unfinished for more than a week. something to tide you over..Hmmm..don't think I'm going to do any editing or edition to this one. It's about right as is.)
Warning has been given and I've given you time..if you keep on reading and get offended, on your own head be it.

"- European leaders promised on Saturday to speed up plans to strengthen spending rules and get a permanent bailout fund up and running as soon as possible, a day after U.S. agency S&P cut the ratings of several euro zone countries' creditworthiness."

Like our own leaders they've learned nothing. As soon as you say something is too big to fail and give it 'bail outs'..you are setting it up TO FAIL. By giving Greece money to try and prop it up...the rest of the Euro's are only going to weaken their own goddamn positions...depending on just how much they give. By setting up a "permanent bail out fund", your basically saying you 'expect' people to fail and are giving them a permanent parachute to keep them from hitting the floor. Hell, the only way the people falling are going to learn is to fall flat on their asses..HARD. Then they can take a few minutes to cry like a bitch and then get the fuck up off the floor and reach for the sky again...except this time they can be more intelligent about it. For these governments and their people the lesson SHOULD be painful

http://news.yahoo.com/merkel-vows-faster-eurozone-reform-p-downgrades-152932631.html

Over here in the U.S. we have a similar but different problem. We the people WANT our government to make deep cuts in spending budgets. We WANT our government to be fiscally responsible and stop giving free handouts to everyone and their syhphilitic mother. Yet we have a government that consistently spent Over a Trillion dollars MORE than what was taken in EVERY year for the last 3. A government where they, our supposed representatives SAY they're going to make cuts, on both sides of the political aisle, and then do exactly NOTHING. A government that for the last 3yrs, soon to be 4yrs; couldn't be bothered TO PASS A GODDAMN BUDGET!!

A government that earlier this year raised our debt ceiling a Trillion dollars to keep from going into default and then formed a 'committee' to come up with 'real' budget cuts. A committee that has failed to accomplish a fucking thing I might add; except continue with the same bickering bullshit in MICRO, that they do in MACRO during a full congressional session!! What. The. Fuck?! This helps us how? Newsflash it doesn't. Oh and that same government is now planning on raising the debt ceiling a further Trillion dollars to keep from going into default. Why? Because our goddamn government can't fucking figure out that spending money like a sailor in a whore house on fucking shore leave is a bad motherfucking idea from mother fucking beginning to anal raping end!! Useless, asslicking, lying, fork tongued, power hungry bastards and bitches!

So let us remember 1 thing if we remember nothing else...it's time to put FEAR And ABJECT TERROR into the hearts and minds of our Politicians so they OBEY US...not try to RULE us, like they have been. It's time to put We The People back in the forefront of American Politics...we haven't been there for a long while because we've allowed ourselves to become complacent. Okay some of us. Some of us are also frustrated as hell because we've been screaming about this shit for YEARS.

A man whinging about not winning at lotto

Yes lads and lasses we're going to discuss the depths of human stupidity again, instead of politics.

It starts with a Mr. Ray Otero, an unassuming chap from Puerto Rico who supports 2 kids and a wife on a $40k a year Superintendents job in NYC. Mr Otero is a bit perturbed because a doorman down the street he knows plays the lotto off an on, only spending a couple hundred a year and won on a scratch off called Set For Life, which if it works like the one here in Texas...you get a set amount..say..$150,000 a year for 20yrs.
[there have been tickets with more and tickets that give you MUCH more...just depends on the game and the price of the ticket]

Why is Mr Otero upset about this? Why because last year Mr Otero spent $30,000 of his $40,000/per year salary...on lottery tickets.

I know, I know. You are thinking to yourselves "What the Fuck?!" Wait for it...

"Winning is, of course, the essence of the lottery, though it might be said that losing is its natural state. And Mr. Otero is certainly a natural — at losing. For the last three years, he has utterly failed to recoup a rather staggering investment: $500 to $700 on the lottery a week. "

Yes my friends you have met one of the many people whose picture belongs in the dictionary next to the words Moron, stupid, idiot etc. So lets get this straight. The man makes $40,000 a year, lives in a rent free apartment, has a wife and 2 kids to support and he spends $5-700 a WEEK on lottery tickets? I'd really love to ask this guy ...So what do you feed your kids? The losing lottery tickets? Kids must have a really fiber rich diet then...I wonder if they'll get some sort of poisoning from the ink?

"Mr. Otero, 52, came to New York City from Puerto Rico nearly 30 years ago and worked as a mechanic in the Bronx. He has held his current job for about 10 years and supports his wife and two children on a yearly take-home pay of $40,000, he says, which does not include the free apartment, odd jobs or the typical Christmas tips."

I don't care if you work odd jobs and get huge christmas tips. You've got a family to support. You do not need to be spending $30k a year on lotto tickets and then WHINING like a little bitch when someone else who is not as stupid as you are, and is a little...a little hell, a LOT more frugal with their money; wins.

You know...my parents, more specifically my mom, spends around $1,000/year just on actual lotto tickets, not scratch offs. That's for the state lotto and the multi state Mega Millions. When one or the other lotto pot gets to around $150 million, they have me buy $5 extra in tickets for that particular lotto. Mom treats herself and the rest of the family at christmas with scratch offs for our stockings. She gets the smaller $1-$3 scratch offs. This year she sent me, her dutiful son to do it for her. I spent a whopping $30 to put scratch off tickets into the stockings of 4 people. Mom I think when she does it spends closer to $50. At any rate...yeah my parents want to win, and I've made the picking up of the tickets a bi weekly duty. 1. because my parents are getting on in years and the more I do the less they have to worry about and 2. because mom told me a long time ago..they win..I get half..so there is some self interest involved as well as love. I personally won't bother to play until the pot gets nearer $200 million, then I'll pop in 10-15 bucks.
One of my cousins calls lottery 'a stupidity tax for otherwise supposedly intelligent people' or something to that effect..because people spend all that money for exactly NO or very damned little return. For my mom it's a hobby, not an obsession; it makes her happy, and she's not being stupid about it so I don't care.

Mr. Otero believes working for a living is for suckers.....
"But working is for poor uneducated men — a sucker’s game, he said, where one must run increasingly fast to keep one’s place in line. “You’re making money on the one side and spending it on the other,” he said. “If all you’re doing is working, you’re never going to win.”

Really Mr. Otero? How do you suppose Donald Trump, or the men who created the railroads, or the guy who came up with the Pony Express, or the man who built Kentucky Fried Chicken, or any other number of people and families I could name, got where they are. The originators of those fortunes didn't have that money handed to them for free. They didn't say "work is for suckers". Nope those people worked their asses off, to make that money. Someone needs a cluex4 upside the head.. Hey Ray...look at my thumb...*sound of a thunk as Mr Otero is hit solidly in the back of a head with a cluex4 and then a resounding *thud* as Mr. Otero's unconscious form hits the floor* DAMN your dumb. Note to Mr. Otero...Really? Get some help boy..find a shrink who specializes in addictive behaviors and more specifically gambling

Why is anyone surprised?

http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/01/white-house-cant-wait-to-help-young-people-get-summer-jobs/

We Can't Wait? You ever notice that whenever the Democrats are pulling something that will damage the country, they always say the same things? We Can't Wait, It's imperative and my personal favorite from nancy pelosi..'You'll find out what's in the bill after we pass it." *headdesk*

Were you silly people NOT paying attention back in 08 during the primaries when I said of Obama "here is the man who would be king"? Oh yeah..I didn't have this blog on blogger yet.

Seriously? Has no one been paying attention for the last 3yrs? if not to me and others, then to obama's doings? WTF. Alright..here's a reading assignment for you. If you choose to except it, go into my archives for last year, click on November, and read all the posts I ported over from my other blog from back in 08.
There's 20 some odd of them.

That is all

New Year..same old crap.

The record stays the same and people have the gall to wonder why I hold them in contempt? *headshake*
Just a sampling

From my friend Robbie at UrbanGrounds

From my friends over at Common Sense

Same rhetoric, lies and bullshit coming from the Whitehouse

Same stupid shit coming from the idiots in the OWS

Yet more Political Correctness crap in the toy industry no less. *headshake*

A very interesting article on parallels and history repeating itself, because we failed fail to learn from it. An article from englands Daily Mail no less.

And Oh, Obama officially signed the National Defense Authorization Act on New Year's Eve. Something I'm sure most of my fellow citizens missed.

Sigh...nope..nothing going on here. Nothing new and exciting. These aren't the droids your looking for. Move along.

Shit. I give you some thoughts from 2011
